So you want to hit level 100 in Roblox DIG? Whether you’re trying to finish that pesky Magma Quest on the second island, unlock better shovels, or just flex that shiny triple-digit level, I’ve got you covered. In this guide, I’m breaking down the fastest and most consistent ways to gain EXP, especially if you’re in the early-to-mid game (around level 50 or under). That said, if you’re already pushing level 80+, you’ll still find a few gems in here to help speed things up. Now let’s break down how leveling actually works, and what strategies you should be doing to level up efficiently.
How to Level Up Fast
Leveling in Dig to Win or Roblox DIG is tied directly to combat, digging rare items, and questing. Most players don’t realize how much EXP they’re missing just by skipping boss fights or ignoring item-rich zones.
I’ll be covering:
- Bosses that give the most EXP
- EXP from digging legendaries
- Quests and enchants that passively boost gains
I recently started focusing on EXP more seriously, and once I locked in these strategies, my bar started flying. Let’s start with the real MVP of EXP farming, bosses.

Boss Farming: Still the King of EXP
If you’ve ever fought a boss and thought, “That’s it?”, you probably weren’t looking at your EXP bar.
Trust me, bosses give a TON of experience, especially if you’re under level 70. Even just one fight can fill a huge chunk of your bar.
Here are some rough EXP ranges from popular bosses:
Boss | EXP Range |
---|---|
Basilisk | 1,000 – 1,200 EXP |
Giant Spider | 1,400 – 1,600 EXP |
Direwolf (Blood Moon) | 1,200 – 1,400 EXP |
Monstrosity | 3,000 – 3,500 EXP |
Fuzzball | 700 – 1,500 EXP (luck-dependent) |
Top Picks: Giant Spider is the sweet spot, solid EXP, decent loot, and spawns fairly often.
Candlelight Phantom is cheaper but gives less EXP, okay for filler but not ideal.

Boss Tip: Farm with Friends
Boss horns can be pricey, but if you pool your money with friends, it gets WAY easier.
- Let’s say the spider horn costs 50k and there are 5 of you. That’s 10k each.
- If each person gets 15k back from the fight (drops + boss money), boom, you’re profiting AND gaining EXP.
The more people you have, the cheaper it gets per person:
- 40k horn = 4 people = 10k each
- 60k horn = 6 people = 10k each
Plus, with 4–6 players, you’ll melt bosses and still walk away with solid loot and EXP.
Tip: Join the official DIG Discord, players run regular boss forms, and it’s a great place to find a farming group. And yes, you should definitely server hop to do it faster.

Blood Moon Bosses: Free EXP Drops
During a Blood Moon (which spawns every four hours on the new update event), you’ll get a chat message saying: “Direwolf will spawn in 1 minute.”
Head to the cave and fight it! It has ~100k HP and drops 1,200–1,400 EXP plus loot. No horn required. If you have Beast Slayer, you’ll breeze through it. Even solo, this is easy EXP.
Fuzzball: Bonus XP & Rare Charm
The Fuzzball boss is another hidden gem. It gives decent EXP and drops Fuzzball’s Foot, a charm that boosts luck by 15%. To spawn it, look for the Mysterious Flower in Verdant Vale. You can’t use horns, quests, or any shortcuts here.
Here’s the catch:
- The Mysterious Flower spawns naturally every ~40 minutes on average
- It has a 2.5% chance to appear every 20–100 seconds (if no other flower is present)
- No server message is given when the flower spawns, only when a player activates it
IMPORTANT: Server hop and check older servers, newer ones usually haven’t reached the spawn timer yet. Look for servers that have been up for 40+ minutes for the best odds.
If you want EXP, money, and charm farming all in one fight, Fuzzball is worth hunting down.

Digging Rare Items = Passive EXP
Not in the mood to fight? No problem. Digging legendaries and mythics gives you EXP too, and there are two spots that are just chef’s kiss for this grind.
1. Polar Bear Abundance – Mount Cinder
- Use your Item Detector to find the gold zone
- Dig up Polar Bears (legendary item)
- Repeat for juicy EXP
This spot is perfect if you’re still on World 1 or haven’t hit 50% Journal completion. You’ll gain EXP and fill out your collection while farming.
2. Dino Spine Abundance – Copper Mesa (Second Island)
- Take the ferry to Second Island (at least 50% of the journal)
- Want to help to finish your Journal at least 50%? I’ve got a full guide that covers every item for the journal in Roblox DIG and how to find them, give it a look if you’re stuck!
- Head to Copper Mesa, find the Dino Spine spot
- Tons of high-value item spawns
In my opinion, this might even be better than the Polar spot, especially if your journal is more complete. Just use your Item Detector and start digging.

Prodigy Enchant – 1.5x EXP from Digging
If you’re planning to farm by digging, slap the Prodigy enchant onto your shovel. It gives you +50% EXP from anything you dig, which adds up fast.
You can reroll this enchant using Enchant Totems in Cinder Cavern or Azure Hollow. It doesn’t sound like much, but long-term? It makes a big difference.
Bonus EXP from Quests
Now if you’re grinding bosses regularly, grab the Combat Guild Quests. Talk to the NPC at the Combat Guild, he’ll ask you to defeat bosses like the Basilisk, and each quest you complete gives:
- EXP
- Gold
- +1 bonus damage to bosses (up to +60 total)
That means the more quests you do, the easier boss farming becomes. And if you get MVP, you earn bonus rewards too.
Tom’s Bakery – Foxtown
Tom gives you quests that sometimes reward Essence Totems, 30 minutes of +50% EXP. Stack them up and use them before boss runs or digging sprees.
- He also gives cupcakes (buffs), but we’re here for the totems.
- Not all quests reward them, just do a few and you’ll start collecting.
Avoid cow quests if you value your sanity. Seriously.
Pizza Delivery – Mount Cinder
Yes, it’s annoying. Yes, it’s a grind. Yes… it gives decent EXP + 1,500 gold per delivery.
Deliver pizzas to random customers, flare back, and repeat. It’s a passive way to gain EXP while watching YouTube or zoning out.
- You also unlock a pizza-themed shovel and fast car if you commit to it
- Great option for chill farming sessions

Wrap-Up: Level Up Smart, Level Up Fast!
Leveling in Roblox Dig is easier than you think, as long as you’re doing the right stuff. Don’t just grind random mobs or dig aimlessly. Focus on bosses, hotspots, and boosters like enchantments and totems. And most importantly? Don’t do it alone. Join a group, join a Discord, or find a squad in your server. You’ll level up faster and have more fun doing it.
