When fighting enemies in Thymesia you will see all sorts of things. Some things that you couldn’t even imagine existed and could exist even in a game like this. Well, when you come to the Sound of the Abyss Boss, you will think – What the hell am I supposed to do here?! Have no fear and just follow this guide. Let’s get started.

Sound Of The Abyss Boss Fight Guide – Thymesia

Sound of the Abyss one of the most difficult bosses that you can encounter in Thymesia. You will come to see that you will need to fight with something out of your nightmares. The good thing is that it can be killed. Follow these couple of basic tips and tricks and you’ll be good to go.

Boss Fight – First Stage

The first thing that you’ll see right after starting the battle with Sound of the Abyss are those red circles that will start appearing near you. This is what they look like:

Those red circles are not your friends! Don’t find out the hard way as we did. A second or two after they appear on the ground, they will get striked by tons of stone shards. If you manage to get hit, well you can go for a restart or a quick heal somewhere, oh wait, healing will not be an option with Sound of the Abyss.

After a while, you’ll see that instead of small circles, you will get one big red circle around you too. Just get away and out of it as soon as possible. Dashing is the only way. This is where the boss will strike you from the ground.

Every once in a while he will do a swoop strike with his body. After this swoop, you will have a chance of damaging him. Go for these red pore stones on his neck. Do a big burst of damage because you won’t have a very long time to do so. You will need to destroy it completely. This will do about 30% dmg to his HP.

Then it will happen again, and again, and again. You will keep following the same strategy as you’ve done it before. Just go for the stones on his neck, dodge the AoE circles and be careful of his swipe attack.

Boss Fight – Second Stage

Now you’ll get a little change in the boss fight. The biggest thing you should worry about this time are those AoE circles around you. There will be more than earlier and they will be activating much faster than earlier as well. Whatever you do, don’t stand on the left side.

The boss will come directly to the left. Now is your time to strike. Go into his mouth and you’ll do an animation where you’ll kill him completely.

Congratulations! You have killed a very difficult boss all by yourself! We hope that this guide was of some help to you. Now go on ahead and give it a try.
