Blox Fruits has released a staggering new update recently in the form of Update 27. This update adds a brand new mechanic entirely to the popular game in the form of Fishing. You can now catch all sorts of fish, sell them and do so much more. However, not a lot of players realize that Potions are a big part of the Fishing update as well. If you’re not sure how potions work or whether they are worth the effort, we have you covered! In this guide, we’ll be going over everything you need to know about Potions. Without further delay, let’s get into it!
ULTIMATE Potion Guide
Potions are a feature that allows you to get different buffs. They’re related to fishing and can be time consuming to make.
So, in this guide, we’ll not only show you how to craft them but also break down which potion is worth the time and effort.
For a full guide fishing and its progression, check out our complete fishing guide. Getting better fish will help you with potions that require rare fish.
How To Craft Potions
Starting off, to make Potions, you will need to get your hands on a fishing rod and bait. This will allow you to start your fishing journey.
To do this, you will need to go to the Fisherman NPC found in Port Town in the Third Sea. After that, interact with him and you will get the basic fishing rod and bait. You will also be able to purchase extra Basic Bait from him.
If you’re having trouble finding the NPC, check out our all angler & fishing npc locations guide.

Fishing is a simple mechanic in Blox Fruits. All you need to do is throw the line in and wait for an exclamation mark to pop up. Once it does, press left click to start reeling in.
From here, it’s all about clicking and releasing the left mouse button (LMB) to stay in the sweet spot, until you catch your fish.

Now, you may be wondering what the relation of fishing is to potions? The main reason is that potion recipes are a rare drop from fishing. But don’t worry, they aren’t too rare and you’ll have a higher chance of getting them with better rods and baits.
Each potion recipe comes inside a glass bottle and when you open it, you get access to a recipe. Currently, there are 6 total potion recipes in Blox Fruits and you’ll need to get all of them if you want to craft all the potions.

After you’ve obtained your first potion recipe, it’s time to craft it. To craft a potion, you will need to interact with a campfire. You can easily place one down by doing into your Inventory and pressing Build on the wooden planks.
Wooden planks are a very common drop that you can get from destroying trees and objects with destructible physics.
Additionally, you will also need some kind of fish as an ingredient. All of the potions in Blox Fruits need a fish to be crafted. Most of the potions require common or uncommon fish – with one requiring a rare fish.

Once the campfire is set, interact with it and you’ll be able to see the potion recipe that you unlocked. Click on it to see all the ingredients that you need to craft it.

Potions Breakdown
Now that you know how to craft potions it’s time to see which potions are worth crafting and the different buffs and effects that you can get with each of them.
Alongside the 6 potions, you can also craft a food item.
Fish Kebab
While technically not a potion, you can craft this food item fairly easily. You’ll need the following ingredients:
- x2 Common Fish
- x1 Uncommon Fish
Additionally, here are the effects that you get from it:
- Grants 60% faster health regeneration for 500% of their health when out of combat
- You can pair it with the Lei accessory to give 50% Health Regen and become super tanky
- The regen effect will remain active even if you die or rejoin the server.

Lava Potion
To craft the Lava Potion in Blox Fruits, you need the following ingredients:
- x3 Common Fish.
Here are the effects you get with the Lava Potion:
- Grants complete immunity to Lava and Fire Damage for 2 minutes.
- Very handy when trying to travel through certain areas of the game
- This can especially help if someone tricks you into falling into lava
NOTE: Currently, the Lava Potion is bugged and you might still take damage after taking it. This is more than likely a glitch that should hopefully be fixed soon.

Aggro Elixir
To craft the Aggro Elixir in Blox Fruits, you need the following ingredients:
- x2 Uncommon Fish
- x1 Fish Tail
- Drops from Fisherman enemies in First Sea
Here are the effects you get with the Aggro Elixir:
- Forces nearby enemies to target the consumer for 2 minutes
- Useful for grouping enemies and farming them more efficiently
- While the range isn’t massive, it is quite useful in certain situations
- Unfortunately, it doesn’t last long enough for you to use them effectively for quests

Loot Seeker Potion
To craft the Loot Seeker Potion in Blox Fruits, you need the following ingredients:
- x3 Common Fish
- x1 Scrap Metal
- Drops from various enemies like Pirates, Raiders and Brutes
Here are the effects you get with the Loot Seeker Potion:
- Lets the user see nearby chests through walls for 2 minutes.
- The range is decent and similar to the Aggro Elixir
- While it is useful for farming Beli, if you’re experienced you might already have memorized common chest spawn locations.

Berserker’s Elixir
To craft the Berserker’s Elixir in Blox Fruits, you need the following ingredients:
- x2 Common Fish
- x1 Leather
- Drops from various enemies like Pirates and Brutes in First Sea
Here are the effects you get with the Berserker’s Elixir:
- Increases damage dealt by 10% against enemies and bosses for 2 minutes.
- While the damage increase sounds small, it is fairly noticeable
- A great option for farming tougher enemies and bosses quicker.

Fortune Elixir
To craft the Fortune Elixir in Blox Fruits, you need the following ingredients:
- x1 Rare Fish
- x1 Uncommon Fish
- x3 Common Fish.
Here are the effects you get with the Fortune Elixir:
- Increases Money drops by 20% for 2 minutes
- Does not increase rewards you get from quests
- Sounds good on paper, but the boost is not that significant considering how expensive it is to craft.

Sum Up – Which Potions To Prioritize?
While the potions are an interesting addition to Blox Fruits, most of them aren’t really as game changing as you would think. Only a few of them are worth your time while the rest definitely need some kind of buff. As things stand, here is how we would rank them:
- S Tier – Fish Kebab
- B Tier – Lava Potion, Berserker’s Elixir
- C Tier – Aggro Elixir
- F Tier – Loot Seeker, Fortune Elixir.
That’s everything you need to know about potions in Blox Fruits. The idea of potions being related to fishing is great because it gives you an alternative to the fish you catch besides selling. But currently, we believe that the potions aren’t worth it besides a few. Hopefully, as new potions get added to the game and fishing progresses with further updates, we might see more variety and better buffs. However, some of them are still useful in certain situations so don’t hesitate to try them out! After all, it all depends on your play style.
