Genshin Impact 6.0 brings a whole assortment of content in a brand new region that fans are gobbling up. We’ve got new areas, characters, quests and even enemies to take on. This includes the Knuckle Duckle boss that you can find on one of the isles. Bosses can be much more challenging than the regular enemies in the game – and the Knuckle Duckle has some tricky phase changes. If you’re struggling to fight this boss, we’ve got you sorted. We’ll show you exactly how you can beat in every stage by taking advantage of its weaknesses. With that said, let’s dive in!
How to EASILY Beat Knuckle Duckle
The Knuckle Duckle is a world boss that you can take on in the Nod-Krai region at Lempo Isle. When you’re ready to take it on, select the Duster Mode option to start the boss fight.
The main strategy we’ll be utilizing is to take advantage of its weakness: which is electro-charging it and its minions. For that, you will need a lot of Hydro and Electro application from your characters to trigger it.
So, let’s take a look at the characters setup you want to use alongside the strategy for both phases.

Character Setup
Here are the characters we recommend using for the Knuckle Duckle boss fight:
- Hydro / Aino
- We’ll be using her for most if not all of our Hydro application
- This is the first part of triggering Electro Charge
- Electro / Lisa
- She’ll be our only source of Electro application
- This is the second part of triggering Electro Charge on enemies
- If you have a better Electro unit on her, consider using them
- Hydro / Barbara
- For some extra Hydro application
- Pyro / Xiangling
- We’ll be using her for DPS damage
- You can consider using any other element besides Hydro & Electro here
Normal Phase Strategy
When the boss fight starts, the Knuckle Duckle will start off in its normal phase. All things considered, the boss is fairly easy compared to other ones you’ll face.
In terms of moves, it only has four moves that you need to watch out for. Here is a breakdown of all of them and how you can deal with them:
- Slam Attack
- Simply dodge out of the way at the right time
- Drop Attack
- An AoE circle will appear where it’ll drop
- Dash or run out the circle as quickly as you can
- Spin Attack
- Simply dash or double dash out of it
- Charging Slash Attack
- Step to the side when the attack comes.
In this phase, your goal shouldn’t be to damage it. You’ll get plenty of opportunity to do it in the next phase. However, if you do see an opening, you can go for it.
Duck Bot Minion Phase Strategy
At some point, the Knuckle Duckle will go into its minion phase where it will summon Duck Bots. When this phase triggers, the boss will go to the middle of the stage.
Your goal will be to electro charge these minions – with your entire focus being on them. Use Aino or Barbara to apply Hydro to them until they are wet. After that, switch to Lisa and proc the Electro Charge on them to deal a lot of damage to them.
Make sure to keep an eye out for Knuckle Duckle too as he will continue to do his moves as well.
Keep doing this until all the minions are defeated. You only have a limited time to defeat the Duck Bots since they will disappear after a while. If they do, you will miss out on the Stun Phase.
You can even do Lunar Charge and this is five times more effective than electro charge. However, this will depend on whether you have the characters for it.
Here is the overall strategy that we would recommend:
- Use Barbara to get Hydro on all of the Duck Bots
- Pop an Ultimate or Skill with Lisa to Electro-Charge them
- Pop an Ultimate or Skill with Aino.
This is the rotation that you can follow to keep the Electro Charge on the Duck bots as much as possible
If you manage to defeat the Duck Bots, then the Knuckle Duckle will get stunned. This gives you the perfect opportunity to deal damage with your main DPS unit.
You’ll be able to do the majority of your damage in this phase. This makes the whole boss fight a piece of cake!
