Sometimes there are side quests in games that you can do for various types of rewards. Often times these side quests give you experience, currency, gear or even side stories. These side quests can be a great way to pad out the game as well as introduce more things that the developers couldn’t fit into the main quest line. This is also a great way to make sure that the player has a way to grind before continuing through the story. In this guide, we’ll show you how to do one of the side quests in Thymesia – destroy all Cysts.

Destroy All Cysts Guide In Thymesia: Sea of Trees

Thymesia is a souls-like game, and often times these are quite hard for the average player. Not only that but adding to the difficulty are additional challenges that players can take upon themselves. These include completionism runs where you finish all of the side missions as well, and this guide will tell you one of the side missions.

A mission will be available to you to destroy cysts in the Sea of Trees after you finish another mission to collect cores. The layout and enemy placements will be different than the previous mission so keep that in mind. The whole area may look overwhelming and confusing but it’s actually pretty straightforward and linear.

The first Cyst is just below where you’ll spawn. You’ll be on an elevated platform before going to this cyst so jumping to get as close as possible to destroy it will minimize exposure to the plague cloud around it.

Continuing on through the level past a rope bridge is another Cyst just before an iron gate. Use your dodge move to go past the cloud quickly and destroy the cyst.

Going through that gate and down to the deeper levels of the area past some enemies is another cyst in the path.

Across another rope bridge is a cyst guarded by a few enemies. You can kill them or just hit and run the cyst.

Continue through the level fighting or ignoring enemies and you’ll see another rope bridge. Cross that, go down two sets of ladders and another rope bridge is your next target.

The last one you’ll need to go back and cross the other rope bridge, this time it’s guarded by an enemy with a hammer.
