Side quests in video games can give a lot of things to the player besides XP, currency or gear. Some games give players extra stories or lore bits to enjoy when they finish a side quest. Often times these can augment and make the experience of the game better. If lore and extra story isn’t your thing then you still get XP or currency or armor and weapons and items for your trouble. Side quests have something for everyone and in this guide, we’ll show you how to finish one of the side quests in Thymesia – to find Odur’s Construction Notebook.
Find Odur’s Construction Notebook Guide In Sea of Trees | Thymesia
Thymesia has a main quest where you go through the plague-ridden lands looking for the bosses to defeat so that you can get cores that will help you understand the plague. Often times these missions let you go through a level and fight the boss at the end, but sometimes you can go back to those levels to finish side quests. Doing these side quests often sends you to the same area but with a different layout. In the Sea of Trees, there are a couple of side quests you can do.
Heading into the level and you’ll see that it’ll be a bit different. That’s because doing side quests in the game will send you to the same place but with a different layout and enemy placement. The layout here though will be very straightforward and linear so don’t worry about getting lost. Just worry about the enemies along the way.
While going through the level you’ll see an enemy like the one on the image above. You need to defeat that enemy to get the key inside of him, this will unlock a way to the Sea of Trees Market. Now that you have the key, go through the rest of the level and past the iron gates.
After going through the gates, you’ll go past a rope bridge.
Continue walking forward until you get to the first doorway to the left. This will lead you to a staircase. On the second floor, you’ll see an enemy standing in front of you.
To the left is where you want to go, past the plague cloud to the very back and to the right.
Remember to use your dash move to get through the cloud quickly.
At the corner past the cloud is the item you’re looking for. Congratulations, you now know where to find Odur’s Construction notebook. Now go out there and try to find it for yourself!
