When playing an RPG game, it’s always a good idea to open chests. Unless you are playing Dark Souls. Dark Souls has ruined my trust in chests. Luckily, only a few games copied the trope of having some chests be traps, leaving games like Genshin Impact stress-free. However, there is still the matter of finding these chests, which is pretty time-consuming as they are all spread out from each other. If you have the time to spare and are trying to find all the Old Vanarana chests, then follow this guide and we’ll show you how.
All Old Vanarana Chests – Genshin Impact
The first chest is located here, but you will have to do something in order to get it.
The area has enemies and an Abyssal Mage. They are very powerful opponents and are not to be messed with. You will have to take it out to get the Luxurious Chest.
But you don’t get the chest immediately. For the first 7 chests in this guide, you will have to eliminate 7 Abyssal Mages. After this one, it should be 6 left in order to unlock the Luxurious Chest.
The next one is located not too far from the last mage.
You will find an Abyssal Mage here, but no other enemies. Quickly dispatch the Abyssal Mage.
The next chest is located here in the map.
Again, deal with the Abyssal Mage and move on to the next area.
The next location is in the middle of Old Vanaranal.
Deal with the Abyssal Mage as usual before moving on.
The next Abyssal Mage is near the Teleport Waypoint near the Old Vanarana sign on the map.
This one is next to a tree, so you can easily spot it.
The sixth Abyssal Mage camps between the three Teleport Waypoints (refer to the map above to see where).
Eliminate this Abyssal Mage and you will be one step closer.
The last Abyssal Mage is near the Teleport Waypoint. It aligns with the Statue of the Seven icon.
This one is camping under the dead tree. Get rid of him, and you are now almost done.
After defeating all Abyssal Mages, teleport to the Statue of the Seven in Old Vanarana.
Here, you will encounter an Abyss Lector. More specifically, a Fathomless Flame.
The fight will be hard, but you should be able to beat it if you use all of your characters skills efficiently. Once the Fathomless Flame is gone, the Luxurious Chest will spawn.
Now that we have the Luxurious Chest out of the way, let’s move on to the Remarkable Chest, which is a lot easier to get.
Go to the area marked on the map and you should see a gathering of enemies. Eliminate them all the Remarkable Chest will spawn.
The next Remarkable Chest requires you to fast travel with the Teleport Waypoint (the waypoint next to the player marker in the map, posted in the picture above) to the Vanarana Underground.
The Remarkable Chest will be there in plain sight, but you will be ambushed by enemies behind you. And to think I thought I could trust this game.
After getting the last chest, fast travel to the Travel Waypoint again. But this time, jump into the large hole on the side. The Remarkable Chest is located in a little cave that’s on the side
After getting both chests in the Vanarana Underground, use the Teleport Waypoint that’s on the Fane of Ashvattha name on the map.
You can find the chest in the distance once you spawn in. You’ll have to defeat all of the enemies, which should be easy.
With the good chests out of the way, we now move to finding the Common Chests, starting with the one near the Statue of the Seven.
Only one enemy guards this one, so it should be easy to deal with.
The next one requires you to go back to the Vanarana Undergrounds, and it almost doesn’t seem worth it as it is just a Common Chest. But if you want to open all of them, then who are we to stop you?
You can find the Common Chest after going through the cave and completing Dendro puzzles. Like, a lot of Dendro puzzles. Once you do them and get the chest, you will understand why we think it’s not worth all the effort in doing this for a Common Chest.
Now if it were a Luxurious or Remarkable Chest, then we would understand. But that’s not the case here. With that said, if you have successfully followed the guide to the last Common Chest, then you have opened all of the chests found in Old Vanarana.
