The new content update for Genshin Impact has just released and it’s a whole bunch of new content for the players to go through. The update now adds the deserts of Sumeru where it’s filled with all sorts of ruins the player can explore. Not only that but there’s also new characters players can get within the update as well as new quests to do, including a continuation of the main quest. There’s plenty of adventure to be had in the new areas and in this guide, we’ll show you how to do one part of a quest in the new desert area of the game!
Proceed Deeper Within Khemenu Temple In Genshin Impact
In the quest “An Introduction to Indoor Archeology” at one point the player will be tasked in proceeding deeper within the Khemenu Temple.
To start you’ll need to go north of where Benben and the other NPC is. On the northern part of the area is a door with a mechanism next to it to open it. Open the door and go deeper into the temple ruins.

You’ll enter an area where there is a glowing blue platform in the middle. There’s also a floating glowing blue triangle at the side, all you need to do is take that triangle and go over the glowing platform.

This will create a mechanism that you’ll need to activate. Doing so will release a blue entity that you’ll need to follow just like a Seelie.

Following it will lead you back to the area where the NPCs are and it will activate pillar. Now head to the south of the area to open another gate.

Go through the door and you’ll see another one of those mechanisms that releases a blue entity. It’s guarded by an enemy that you need to defeat.

After the enemy is defeated it’s the same as before. Activate the mechanism, follow the blue ball and it’ll activate the other pillar and will start a cutscene to the next part of the quest.
