In the world of Marauders, resources are so scarce that people are killing each other over it. Not exactly a far cry from our world today, but Marauders takes it a step further by stating the Earth is no longer full of rich resources due to the greed of humanity, thus forcing people to abandon Earth and turn to a life of pirating to get what they need to survive in space. In the game, that’s called raiding, which you do quite a lot in the whole game. But what do you do in your first raid in the game?
First Raid Guide – Marauders
You start off the raid by using your ship and entering the raid area via ship. The ship will automatically once your ship touches the yellow light that’s emanating from the raid area. Once you do dock, you will exit from piloting the ship. Go through the airlock, but remember where the airlock is located, because the airlock is where your ship is, and you will soon find out what happens if you don’t remember.
Once in the raid area, everyone will know that you are there and will shoot you when you are spotted. There will be no rest for you and your crew as you scavenge the area for loot, so be sure to work together and inform each other if you find a spot full of loot or if you encounter enemy forces.
If you have found enough loot that you find sufficient, then it’s time to get out. You have two ways to get out: go back to your ship using the airlock or use an escape pod. If you use an escape pod, then you will be launched out of the raid area with all of your loot, but not your ship. This means that you cannot get your ship back.
Going back in the raid area using the escape pod is not possible, which means that you will lose the ship you came in with. However, you can get another ship using the escape pod by flying to an enemy ship and breaching it from the side. You will then have to kill everyone on board and take the ship for yourself.
With a new ship, you can now get out of the map by using the escape gates. Going through these gates means you are done with the raid and everything you have taken during the raid (including the stolen ship you have if you used an escape pod to breach it) will be yours. But, you will lose the ship that you came in with.
