Forza Horizon 5 is more immersive than ever. However, some players cannot connect their controllers and wheels in the game. Below are some of the fixes you can explore to get your controller working in the game.
PS4/PS5 Controller Fix
The Forza Horizon 5 does have native Xbox settings, but that does not mean you cannot get your PS4/PS5 controllers to work in Steam.
- Right-click Forza Horizon 5 in Steam and make sure that the controller configuration is set to the default settings.
- Try launching the game in Big Screen.
- Try disabling the controller configurations completely and restarting again. You may need to disable your Xbox controller configuration for it to work.
If the fixes above do not work, you can try using DS4 to handle your PS4/PS5 controllers.
How to Setup DS4
DS4 is free, third-party software that can handle your controller settings. During the installation, install the Stealth module. Once you download and launch the program, click on the options and tick the Hide option.
Launch the game and it should work without Steam notifying you about a third-party program.
