Like previous installments of the game, The Pokemon Company teased a ton of new Pokemon for trainers to collect and register in their Paldean Pokedex.
One of those Pokemon was Wiglett, who immediately drew the attention of trainers due to its striking resemblance to Kanto’s Diglett, even though the two are apparently unrelated.
How to Get Wiglett and Evolve to Wugtrio in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
Wiglett is a challenging Pokemon to come across in the wild. It isn’t easy to find while exploring Paldea because it can quickly fly away from you, preventing you or your Pokemon from catching it.
It would be best to locate Wigglet in the wild before attempting to battle it.
Catching Wiglett and Evolving to Wugtrio
As a Water-type Pokemon, Wiglett is usually found at the beach in outer locations of the Paldea region. You can find one right at the beach near your house at the start of the game. Other locations include:
- East Province (Area Two)
- South Province (Area One)
- South Province (Area Six)
- Port Marinada
To catch Wiglett, you need to crouch down when approaching it, so it doesn’t get scared and flee. Once you’ve locked on the Pokemon, throw your Pokeball at it to engage in combat, and try catching it.
Wiglett evolves into Wugtrio at Lv. 26. Level up your Wiglett or feed it with EXP candies to speed up the process.
