The Dawning’s event quest is a series of mini-quests that you need to complete in order to progress further. There are a total of 6 of these mini-quests, one of which is “Event Challenge claimed”.

Event Challenge Claimed The Dawning in Destiny 2
After completing the first two steps of The Dawning quest, open your Quests tab and hover over to the quest itself. It will then show you the next step which is called “Event Challenge claimed”.
To complete this, your objective is to claim your first Event Challenge via the Event Card.
It’s actually really simple. All you need to do is click on your Event Card at the top. Inside the Event Card, simply click on any of the Event Challenges that you have completed to claim your rewards. Once you’re done doing that, the mini-quest will then automatically complete.
Since you’ll be doing a lot of Event Challenges, you should be able to see a lot of them that are already completed but are still unclaimed. You just have to claim one for the first time to complete the mini-quest.
