Playing a Rogue in Dark & Darker is a whole load of fun. However, you will find yourself on the death screen a lot of the time because of the many misplays you might do. In this guide, we shall explain everything you need to know about becoming a better Rogue. Let’s get started.

Rouge Playtest Guide (Build,s PVP + Advanced Tips) – Dark & Darker

There are many choices of why and how you can start out to play a Rouge in Dark and Darker. You will be getting a very interesting class to play but at the same time, there are certain negatives that you should know that you should take heed of.

These here are the Pros and Cons of the Rouge:

  • Pros:
    • Great Damage
    • Best Stealth Potential
    • Fast Movement
    • Fast Interaction
    • Great Looter
  • Cons:
    • Low Health
    • Low Defense
    • Ineffective at Long Range
    • Very Cooldown Reliant

With that in the mind, you can now know how to best use a Rouge and in which situations you should be placing him to be better off in-game.

Skills

These here are the skills that you should use most and why are they the best for playing a Rouge:

  • Rupture – is a very important skill for a rouge and it is amazing if you have bad gear. It is just flat 20 damage over time
  • Weak Point Attack – it is your other damage cooldown. If you can coordinate with your team to attack the target you have weakened, they will die extremely fast. If solo, make sure to attack your weakened target first
  • Hide – this is your invisibility skill and its cooldown is a big part of your class. It is very versatile but make sure to pick the perks that will enhance it. Make sure to time it properly so it doesn’t go to waste
  • Smoke Bomb – if you use this skill you will probably lack enough damage to be effective in a fight but you’ll always want to use it as your last choice for a quick getaway.

Perks & Skills

The Rouge is spoiled with choices as it has many perks that you can pick from to be able to tailor your overall gameplay and feeling as the ultimate assassin.

  • Lockpick – this perk is extremely nice to have especially if you play with teammates. You will be able to gain access to higher-tier chests for free!
  • Stealth – it will allow you to move 10 times steps while staying completely invisible. This is amazing especially when you have an extremely high risk of getting found out.
  • Poison Blade – it is amazing in the starting stages or in the end game. Just make sure that you combine it with a very good dagger or rapier.
  • Hidden Pockets – this is mediocre and it takes up a perk slot with minimal benefit. Not recommend for using.
  • Backstab – it is a super skill but it isn’t super consistent due to the difficulty of sneaking up on someone’s back. Very good with ambush and weak point attacks though.
  • Creep – this is a mandatory skill if you want to play a true stealthy sneaking rouge. The only problem is, that experienced players with good earphones can still hear you.
  • Dagger – a good rogue perk since the rapier isn’t a viable option anymore
  • Ambush – amazing skill if you use invisibility when you play your rogue. It will grant you 50% extra weapon DMG for 3 seconds that you must use.
  • Trap Detection – situational
  • Pick Pocket– also situational since you can pickpocket people’s pockets before the match starts.

Tip Of The Day

The biggest problem that we’ve seen rogues do in Dark & Darker is that they pick on fights that they cannot win. Your kit will get outclasses by every other class in the game. So just choose your battles and you have all the things necessary to completely disappear from an enemy and just come back when the time is right.

Also, avoid getting into PvP until you have a good weapon. No, you won’t be able to win a battle with that weak starting weapon that you have.

That’s all that you need to know about the Rouge in Dark & Darker. We hope that this guide has helped you out in making you a better overall Rogue. A big thank you to Dresboni from YouTube and make sure to check them out for more details.
