Weapons

Source – kNighT.\\GLOW

There are a total of 32 weapons to choose from in Dark & Darker. Each of them will provide you with some stats that are only added to your overall character’s stats when they are equipped.

Every weapon has a combo pattern and some combos do more damage than others. Each class can equip up to 2 weapons at a maximum. You can access them by pressing 1 or 2 on the keyboard.

Each dark and darker weapon falls into a category of 6 types:

  • Ranged – crossbows, bows, slingshots
  • Magic
  • Stabbing
  • Slashing
  • Chopping
  • Swinging

All of the main weapons can hit more than 1 target but are prone to be blocked by nearby walls when striking.

You will get the most typical RPG weapons just that are in any other games. You will have a sword, dagger, axe, longsword, halberd, spear, mace, machete, axe, and so on.

Protection Weapons

There are a total of 4 protection weapons that you can use in Dark and Darker. They are primarily shields and can be used as a dual-handed weapon in the other hand other than the main weapon hand. Here are all of the shields that you can use:

  • Round Shield
  • Pavise
  • Heater Shield
  • Buckler

Each of them are very different from the other and provides you with different stats. Primarily the size is their biggest difference.

Magic Weapons

There are a total of 4 magical items that you should know of in the game. They are:

  • Crystal Sword
  • Crystal Ball
  • Spellbook
  • Wizard Staff
  • Magical Wand – not yet added

You will do magical damage to your enemies when striking with these weapons, or simply using them. The sword is the only weapon that will combine the magical and physical damage into one when impacted on an enemy.

Armor

There are a total of 39 armor pieces that you are able to equip on any of your characters that are in Dark and Darker. This here is how much you are able to find of any of them and how they are split into groups:

  • Head Gear – 9
  • Torso – 12
  • Leg – 6
  • Gloves – 5
  • Foot – 7

Either of them is different and can give you different types of stats when used. Some of them for example will provide you with more movement speed or more armor rating. You need to choose one over the other.

Deciding on the best gear setup for your class and character leans on your personal preference. You need to choose to either have more defense or more speed and stamina. Also, there is armor like the Bladed Foot Armor, that is very loud.

  • Class Unique Items
  • Plate Boots are Loud
  • Magic Resistance items – for the future
  • Physical Protection
  • Speed

That is all that you need to know about all of the Weapons and Armor in Dark and Darker. We hope that this guide has cleared up everything that you were wondering about. Have fun choosing your favorite set of gear! A big thank you to kNighT.\\GLOW from YouTube for all the details.
