Top 10 GE Vehicles – War Thunder
Su-11
The Su-11 is a premium Soviet fighter jet that is currently a Rank V. This fighter jet has a Battle Rating of 7.3 (AB) and 7.0 (RB/SB).
Pros:
- Good maneuverability
- Great acceleration (for a jet you can get early on).
- Fast fighter jet that is equipped with heavy armaments
Cons:
- The engines will overheat quickly once it reaches 100% power
- Has a low ammo pool with a matching low rare of fire on weapons
Ju 288 C
The Ju 288 C is a premium German bomber that is Rank IV. This German bomber has a Battle Rating of 5.7 (SB) and 6.0 (AB/RB).
Pros:
- Great speed, can even reach bases before being intercepted
- Has a 20 mm cannon on its tail that can be highly effective if used well
- Great options for ordnance
- Great maneuverability for a bomber
- Has no blind spot (unless you attack it from directly above or below it)
- Makes landing easier with its land brakes
- Great defense, can take a lot more hits than other bombers
- Can put out fires before it reaches structural failure
Cons:
- Without MEC, you can expect the engines to overheat a lot
- The cockpit has a noticeable absence of armor, making the pilot vulnerable to attacks and can be easily knocked out
- Gunner is also vulnerable and can be easily knocked out
- Rudders and elevators are very fragile, to the point that a few hits can disable or even destroy them
- If you do lose your rudders or elevator, then you lose control of the bomber
- The bomber can easily catch fire due to the poorly covered self healing tanks
- 13 mm turrets don’t do a lot of damage
- If you do not coordinate with allied bombers, then your bombing runs will not do much damage
Ru 251
The Ru 251 (or the Spähpanzer Ru 251) is a Rank IV premium German tank that has a battle rating of 6.7 (AB) and 7.0 (RB/SB).
Pros:
- Has great speed for a tank with great maneuverability
- Has a similar gun that can be found on the M47, but has a lower BR
- Great reverse speed, perfect for getting out of tough situations
- If you have a full crew with expert training, you can reload very quickly
Cons:
- Be aware that it is a tank, so it is still a little slower, but still faster than most tanks
- The ammo rack sits in the front of the hull, making it very dangerous for frontal attacks
- Little to no amor makes this tank easily destroyable
- Vulnerable to artillery
T114
The T114 is premium, Rank V American tank with a Battle Rating of 7.0 (AB) and 7.3 (RB/SB).
Pros:
- Very fast and agile, can go up to 56km/h (35 mph), and has an offroad speed of up to 40 km/h (25 mph)
- Is an amphibious tank, meaning it can do well in water
- Has great armor that can take a lot of heavy machine gun fire from the front, and can often times bounce shells as well, but only if you get the right angle
- The tank is issued with HEAT, and auto loads after three rounds
- Can penetrate any tank at its rank if you aim well
- The .50 call Coaxial serves as a range machine gun
- Due to its small size, it can hide well in the vegetation of the map, making it a great ambush tank
Cons:
- The armor is thin, so it is subject to overpressure from the HE shells
- There are only HEAT rounds available, and to top it off, there is limited ammo for three shots per clip
- Cannot fight back against planes due to the lack of an external .50 cal MG
- Gun can only elevate up to 8 degrees
- The auto loader may seem good at first, but you will realize that it’s bad because it reloads each shell individually
- If you run into objects like fences or walls, the speed of the tank lessens dramatically
- Being able to see over tall bushes or long grass is impossible due to its low profile
- The crew is cramped, meaning a well places shot can knock everyone out instantly
WMA301
The WMA301 is a Rank VI premium Chinese light tank with a Battle Rating of 8.3 (AB/RB/SB).
Pros:
- It’s equipped with a 105 mm cannon with high velocity rounds, with okay rate of fire and good accuracy
- The tank is equipped with a gen 2 gunner thermal that increases its search and destroy capabilities
- Can use various ammunition from APFSDS to HE-VT’s, as well as a gun launched tandem ATGM
- Has great top speed on hard surfaces
- Has great anti air defenses due to its roof mounted HMG
- Can conceal itself with 2 salvos of smoke grenades
- Has a small turn radius
- Equipped with a laser rangefinder
Cons:
- Has a reverse speed of -7 km/h, which leaves you open to pretty much everything
- May be great on hard surfaces, but putting this tank on terrain like mud, sand, or snow makes it extremely useless
- When moving, you will experience bouncy suspension, which makes it hard to shoot
- Its thin hull can be penetrated by 12.7 mm HMG fire
- Can be easily spotted due to its tall profile
Leopard 1A5NO
The Leopard 1A5NO is a Rank VI premium Swedish medium tank that has a battle rating of 9.0 (AB/RB/SB).
Pros:
- Can use the all powerful, DM## APFSDS round
- Can use gen 1 gunner thermals
- Great mobility
- With the right angle, turret shots can sometimes ricochet
Cons:
- Kinetic rounds can cause a lot more damage to its armor
- Has very low survivability
Strv 81
The Strv 81 (full name: Stridsvagn 81) is a Rank IV premium Swedish medium tank that has a Battle Rating of 7.3 (AB/RB/SB).
Pros:
- Has a powerful, high penetrating gun that can punch through almost anything
- Its base reload time is 8.1 seconds, but can be lowered to 7.4 with the right tuning
- Has great gun depression and elevation
- Armor can be sometimes bouncy
- Can turn on the spot with its neutral steering
Cons:
- Low top speed
- With its ammo rack in the front, any penetration might end up destroying the ammo rack, maybe even detonating it
- APDS shot can cause punctual damage
- Has a weak side armor
Thunderbolt (PT-556)
The Elco 80 ft, Thunderbolt (PT-556) is a premium, Rank III American motor torpedo boat with a Battle Rating of 3.0 (AB/RB/SB).
Pros:
- Has five 20 mm Oerlikon cannons
- Due to it being a motorbat, it is pretty fast
- Carries 4 torpedoes, 2 on each side
- Anti air defenses consists of 4 12.7 mm AN-M2 MG’s
- 37 mm gun can be equipped with AP shells
Cons:
- The 20 mm cannons have low velocity and an awkward angle, making it hard to aim with them
- Its lack of strong armor makes it have a very poor survivability rating
- Next to the fuel tank is where the ammunition storage is stored, so that’s bad
- Torpedoes don’t sink ships in one shot, may need two or three to do it
USS Moffett (DD-362)
The USS Moffett (DD-362) is a premium Rank III American destroyer with a Battle Rating of (AB/RB/SB).
Pros:
- Has a high rate of fire
- Equipped with twin quadruple torpedo tubes, making 8 total tubes available
- AA armament can take down a lot of fighters
- Can go up to 37 knots (69 km/h)
- Armor is anti-fragmentation, which means it can protect crew and everything inside
Cons:
- Cannot last long against ships larger than it
- The rear can be easy to hit and detonate
- It may have 8 torpedo tubes, but its distance is very short compared to others
- Has a low crew count (194)
OF-40 (MTCA)
