Warhammer 40K Darktide is already known as one of the better Warhammer games out there. There’s only a few of them, and even though it’s a diamond in the rough with not that much content compared to the other Tide games by Fat Shark, Warhammer 40k fans are just happy to see a game in that universe that isn’t horrible! The game features a wide range of weapons you can choose, from the humble lasgun to the iconic bolter, but there’s one gun in the game that’s often overlooked. In this guide we’ll show you the wonders of the Stub Revolver.

The Stub Revolver Guide For Warhammer 40,000: Darktide

There’s a rule in video games that every Revolver should look cool, feel amazing to use and dishes out a lot of damage. It’s a simple rule that you’d be surprised a lot of video games don’t do. In the grim dark future of the Warhammer 40k where you can kill anything with lasers, city-sized war machines and mind flamethrowers, it’s good to know that you can still kill things with lead or a stick.

Why the Stub Revolver?

You can have a recon lazgun that fires enough lasers to burn your retinas or a bolter that just goes through anything. Why settle for a Stub Revolver? Well besides the style points of bringing a six-shot, single target weapon in a hoard shooter, it’s stats are nothing scoff at.

The Stub Revolver on the right hands can be a monster in fighting specials, taking them down with ease. This weapon is actually great for characters like the zealot who needs a ranged weapon that can consistently take down specials and the Stub Revolver is just that. This is also one of the guns that reward the own player’s accuracy compared to other guns where you just aim at a general direction and hope RNG takes the wheel.

Shining in the Grimdark

Where the gun shines the best is with the Veteran. This is a sniper rifle in pistol form, steady your aim and shoot. Don’t go through a horde with this and instead use your secondary melee weapon for that, this weapon and its bullets are reserved for the special enemies. And nothing beats the feeling of out-sniping a cultist sniper with a handcannon!

Stub Revolver Builds

The great thing about the Stub Revolver is if you really can’t be bothered changing from your general purpose Veteran build you can still go for it like the one above. If you want to go to Headshot town and be a sniper with this stubby gun then go for the build below, just don’t blame us if you can’t land those headshots!

Conclusion

All in all the Stub Revolver is one of the greatest underdog weapons there is in the game. It’s a weapon that takes skill to use effectively and when you land those headshots you better save it for your video compilation. This is certainly better than whatever God Emperor-forsaken thing the shotgun is for the Veteran!
