I’m pretty sure most of you Torchlight fans already know the upcoming update that’s going to happen in the game and that would be the Blacksail, and of course not only that it also comes with new heroes, new skills and most of all the bosses you’ll need to deal with, one of them is the Ghost Sea Bride which we will be talking about right now.
Boss Battle Guide: Ghost Sea Bride
The Ghost Sea Bride is the Season 2 Blacksail boss you will encounter the most, and she begins appearing once you reach the Netherrealm and has eight ranges of difficulty that is determined by the highest Timemark Beacon, used to Seal a Whisper of the Void.
The Ghost Sea Bride drops everything found in the Netherrealm and is a great way to farm Hero Relics and Memories. She has a chance to drop one of three Void Sea Invitations that is used to challenge her husband, The Lord of the Void Sea.
The Ghost Sea Bride Gameplay Mechanics
Once you enter the arena you will find the Ghost Sea Bride in the center. The fight is one phase and she rotates through all of her Attacks; Strafe, Fire Shot, Mines, Death From Above, Cannon Ring, Cannon Moon and calls Monsters of the Void in random. The more times she calls for help the more monsters come to her aid. This acts as a small enrage timer and you should prioritize removing them as quickly as possible. Having a good AoE (area of effect) build helps with this. Try to do your absolute best here to avoid all Ghost Sea Bride attacks while dealing damage to them until she is eliminated. Take the victory walk to the Void Sea Chest and collect the loot to your heart’s content!
Ghost Sea Bride Skills Breakdown
Of course as gamers know your enemy to defeat your enemy that’s how we deal with most of the problems we have if we can’t beat them. We should always know what skills they’re going to use, so that we can create our own strategies and tactics to either parry or counter their attacks. So here are some skills were going to talk about the Ghost Sea Bride.
The first one we’re going to talk about is Strafe, The Ghost Sea Bride Strafes to your current locations in a red Whirlwind animation dealing low Physical and Elemental damage per hit. She telegraphs this by swinging her arms behind her back and you avoid it by keeping as much distance from her as possible.
As for the second skill it is called Fire Shots, The Ghost Sea Bride attacks with three Fire Shots in rapid succession dealing medium Fire and Physical damage per hit. His is telegraphed by her bringing both guns together in front of her chest and is avoided by constantly walking to the side or using your Mobility Skill.
Thirdly, we have the Mines. The Ghost Sea Bride dashes backwards releasing a cluster of Mines which remain on the ground for ten seconds. If stepped on they activate and explode after a one second delay dealing medium Physical, Elemental and Erosion damage. You need to avoid stepping on these mines.
And lastly, we have the Death From Above, This is the Ghost Sea Bride’s most deadly Attack. She jumps up into the air and charges up a massive shot aimed underneath her. After two seconds from jumping in the air, she unleashes Death From Above dealing high Physical, Elemental and Erosion damage in a small area underneath her. She telegraphs this by jumping and flying in the air and can be avoided by moving away from where she is floating.
The Ghost Sea Bride also uses Cannon Ring which she spawns 6 small cannon in a ring which surrounds you and they all fire a cannonball projectile but only dealing low Physical, Elemental and Erosion damage on contact.
Cannon Moon which spawns 6 small cannoon in a small moon share around the Ghost Sea Bride and fires a cannonball project dealing low Physical,Elemental and Erosion damage. One shot is not threathing but getting multiple hits can be lethal.
And of course every boss fights has their minions with them so yes, The Ghost Sea Bride is also able to summon Monsters of the Void to aid her in battle and these are the same monsters you encounter at the end of each Beacon from the Void Sea Totem, and each time she calls for aid more of these monsters come to help her. So you should clear them out as soon as possible.
