The Safhe Shatranj is a ruin that contains a lot of treasure, all locked behind a ton of puzzles. Of course, having all of these treasures open to anyone who can just waltz in and take them won’t make for challenging gameplay, so that’s why we have to solve puzzles.
If we want to get those treasures, then we got to put in a little effort by using the good ole noggin. However, some people just don’t want to deal with that, which is why we have this guide that will help solve every puzzle in Safhe Shatranj.
Genshin Impact – All Safhe Shatranj Weathered Obelisk Rune Puzzles
Weathered Obelisk and Dendro Totem Puzzle
You can find the Weathered Obelisk and Dendro Totem puzzle here, near the entrance of Safhe Shatranj.
The first set of obelisks is found here, and you will need to unlock the Dendro totem in order to activate it.
To do that, you will need to make sure every obelisk has the correct rune inscribed on it. You will need to hit each obelisk until the correct rune pops up.
This obelisk must have this rune inscribed on it.
The next obelisk must have this rune inscribed on it.
The last obelisk then needs to have this inscribed on it.
Once the last obelisk gets the correct rune, the totem will automatically unlock. Now all that is left is to use a Dendro character and hit it to activate the totem.
After that, we’ll move on to the next set.
The next set can be found here. It’s the same as the last puzzle, in which you need to have all obelisks have the correct rune inscribed on them in order to unlock the totem.
These are the runes you need to have, in that specific order. Once set up, hit the totem and move on to the next one.
The last totem can be found here, alone, which is weird, because the last two totems always have obelisks accompanying them, so how can we solve the puzzle here?
Well, you will get your answer when you approach the totem because powerful enemies will spawn in and attack you once you are near.
Defeat the enemies and the totem will be unlocked.
Once you go to the last totem, all that is left is to head to the middle of the area and you will find the chest there. Open it, and head to the next puzzle.
Weathered Obelisk Puzzle
The next puzzle we’re going to solve here is the Weathered Obelisk puzzle that’s located a little bit deeper into the cave, almost reaching The Dune of Carouses.
From there, you will need to go deeper into the cave and find these three obelisks next to each other.
Once there, hit every obelisk until the runes that you can see in the image above. After that, a chest will pop up just above them.
6 Weathered Obelisk Puzzle
The next puzzle only consists of obelisks, and it can be found on the surface this time, so use a Teleport Waypoint and get back up.
There are 6 obelisks surrounding a locked chest. To unlock it, all obelisks must have a specific rune inscribed on them.
The first one must have this rune inscribed.
The second one should have this rune inscribed.
The third obelisk must have this rune on it.
The fourth obelisk is next, and it should have this rune inscribed.
The fifth obelisk must have this rune inscribed.
The last obelisk will have this rune inscribed on it, successfully unlocking the chest.
3 Weathered Obelisk Puzzle
The next puzzle is another obelisk one, but this time you will only have to deal with 3 of them, so it should be easy.
Starting with the left obelisk, hit it until this rune is inscribed on its surface.
For the second obelisk that is nearer to the cliff, make sure this rune is on the obelisk.
The last one on the right should have this rune inscribed, which will then make the chest appear for you.
5 Weathered Obelisk Puzzle
This is the last puzzle for Safhe Shatranj, and you can find it near the Teleport Waypoint.
There are 5 obelisks here, two on one side and three on the other.
The two obelisks must have these runes inscribed on them.
The last three obelisks must have these runes inscribed on them.
With the 5 obelisks now having the correct runes, the chest will appear and you can open it.
