Side Quests are essential to any game that you might play. They are there to serve a purpose and to make the world around you alive and filled with energy and excitement. Forspoken has quests that you can do as well but there is a catch to them. In this guide, we will show you each of their locations as well as what you need to know about them. Let’s get started.
All Side Quest Locations (All Detour Locations) – Forspoken
Make sure that you do the Side Quests as they appear on the map while you are going through the main story. The thing about them is that if you skip out on them and you proceed with the main story, you might miss them completely. Most of these quests can be missed if you didn’t do them before and when you reach the end-game you will not be able to do them at all.
Chasing The Calico Cat
For this one, you will need to come to the main city as shown in the picture above and just complete the Chapter 3. Once you complete it you will get this quest popping up in this location here. It is a very simple quest to do and all that you need to know is just to be fast and chasing the cat around.
A Guided Tour
Come inside the large city of Cipal once again and then get yourself to the marked and highlighted position in the picture above. You are able to do this quest at the start of the Chapter 4. Just follow the NPC around and you’ll get it done.
Chasing The Black And The White Cat Part 1
Just as with the previous quest, you are able to do this one too at the beginning of the Chapter 4. Simply come to Cipal and then inside the main bazaar area as shown above. Here you are going to be finding a couple of kitties that you need to run around with.
Chasing The Gray Cat Part 1
Move around the suburban area of Cipal and you will come across a very small Gray Kitten in the highlighted position above. You can also do this at the beginning of the Chapter 4 as the previous 2 quests. The cat will try to run away from you and you will need to just chase it down.
Chasing The Black And The White Cat Part 2
For this one, you will first need to complete the Chasing The Black And The White Cat Part 1. It will also be possible to be done in the Chapter 4. This quest is found all the way to the right side of the Cipal town and is just where the ruins and graveyards can be found.
Robian’s Treasured Memories
For this quest to appear and be possible, you will need to be in the Chapter 4. Complete the Archives and return from Lower Cipal and it will appear. You can find Robian just standing on one wooden platform and you can interact with him to start the quest.
New Perspectives
You won’t have to worry about starting this one at all on the map because it will start out automatically. When you are done with the Chapter 4 and completed all of the main storyline quests, just get to the main gate and try to leave Cipal.
Once you do so, you’ll get into a cutscene and this Side Quest, or Detour, will start.
Chasing The Gray Cat Part 2
This one will become available to you only when you have started the New Perspectives. That means that while in Chapter 4 you try to leave Cipal, you are going to get that quest, and only then you will be able to get this Part 2.
To get it, however, you of course need to complete Chasing The Gray Cat Part 1 first. You’ll be chasing a cat around the town once again.
Dancing In Cipal
Dancing in Cipal is a quest that can be found in Cipal in the main west part area of the town. You are only able to start this side quest when you get inside the Chapter 6. Get inside the bar and restaurant area shown on the map and talk to the NPCs that are drinking at the table.
Sila’s Pact
Get on top of the Cipal city region where the owner will be located. To get the quest possible and be able to do however, you need to advance through the main story of the game and actually reach the Chapter 7. You will find Johedy inside this building and once you talk to her the quest will start.
Helping The Broken
Just complete Sila’s Pact in Chapter 7 and you are able to start this side quest too.
Chasing The Striped Cat Part 1
This one is also done in Chapter 7 and only unlocks after you have talked to Robian. It will be on the west side of Cipal. Chasing a cat once again.
Chasing The Striped Cat Part 2
Go to the other part of town in Cipal and inside the Chapter 7. Complete the Chasing The Striped Cat Part 1 and you will be able to begin this quest too. Another chasing cat quest.
Chasing The Black Cat Part 1
Another Chapter another chasing cat quest! For this quest to be possible you need to get to Chapter 13 and head to the center of the Cipal town. You can find the cat on the street and you’ll need to chase it around again.
Chasing The Black Cat Part 2
Inside the Cipal town area and you just need to complete the Chasing The Black Cat Part 1 for this one to become available to do, while also in Chapter 13.
Cipal Reborn
You can start this side quest in the Chapter 13. Get to the lower parts of the Cipal town and find Pilo who will be standing next to the walls. You need to follow Pilo around the town.
Dancing In Cipal: Encore
This one can be started in Chapter 13 and right after you finish the Cipal Reborn side quest. Also, it must be said, that you have to complete the previous side quest by the name of Dancing In Cipal which is done in Chapter 6. It is another dancing and drinking type of side quest.
Dancing In Cipal: Finale
You can start it right away as you finish the previous Dancing In Cipal: Encore. Also in Chapter 13 and in the same location as before.
Lost Lullabies
This one is available to start in the Chapter 13 and on the stairs leading to the main castle of Cipal. Just find Johedy standing on the stairs and interact with her to get the quest going. It is quite a long and interesting side quest.
A Blast From The Past
You won’t have to worry about where to start this one since it starts automatically. Just complete the Lost Lullabies side quest and it will begin.
