Dead Space Remake has just recently been released and it is nothing short of spectacular. It is a remake done right that plenty of fans, new and old, are growing to love. With 8’s, 9’s, and 10’s across the board, not to mention the sales going through the roof, it’s impossible to avoid the next question that we all want answered: is a Dead Space 2 Remake possible?
I just want to see this beautiful suit again.
Just like how Resident Evil 4 is considered to be the best Resident Evil in the franchise, Dead Space 2 is the best Dead Space game in the franchise. It perfectly mixes action and horror into one game. It is an incredibly well paced game that knows when to spice things up and when to tone things down. Not to mention the most fluid combat and controls in any survival horror game to date, only surpassed by the recent Resident Evil remakes.
So, are we going to be getting a remake of Dead Space 2? God, I hope so. I pray to every celestial being out in the universe that it happens, and I think the possibility of getting a remake is high. Capcom has been remaking their popular Resident Evil titles for the past half a decade now. Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3, and soon Resident Evil 4.
Now what does that have to do with Dead Space? Well, if there’s one thing we know about EA, is that they love money. Lots and lots of money. EA can take one look at the Resident Evil remakes and see that they are making bands on bands on bands, which is probably why they greenlit the Dead Space Remake in the first place. If the remake makes a lot of money, then Dead Space 2 Remake is a possibility.
EA has been making good decisions so far with their single player games. They gave us Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and the sequel, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. They even remastered the critically acclaimed Mass Effect trilogy. Despite their recent fumbles with Battlefield 2042, I believe EA knows that the best move that will get them a ton of cash, is to greenlight a Dead Space 2 Remake.
They’re still greedy and very hard to trust, but I do trust their greediness to make the right decision to let Motive make a Dead Space 2 Remake. Either that, or maybe even a Dead Space 4. But as of right now, we will have to wait for official confirmation.
