Best Way to Farm Gold in Hogwarts Legacy
There are multiple ways to farm gold in Hogwarts Legacy, but one of the easiest we’ve seen involves capturing Puffskeins and selling them to the Brood and Peck at Hogsmeade.
To make use of this method, you’ll need to have played the game’s main quest line until you complete “The Elf, The Nab-Sack and The Loom”. This quest opens up after “The Caretaker’s Lunar Lament”.
This is required because you’ll need to obtain a Nab-Sack to be able to capture the Puffskeins.
When you have the Nab-Sack ready, head to the Puffskein Den near the entrance of the Forbidden Forest. Refer to the map below.
You can fast-travel to the Forbidden Forest Floo Flame and then fly on your Broomstick toward the den.
When you reach the den’s area, hop off your Broomstick and start nabbing the Puffskeins. There should be quite a lot in this area at all times.
Capture Puffskeins until you fill your inventory. If you exhausted the available Puffskeins and still haven’t filled your inventory, fast-travel to a nearby Floo Flame and return to the area to make them respawn.
When your inventory is full, fast travel to Hogsmeade and head to the Brood and Peck shop near the northern edge.
Now simply sell every creature you capture. Every Puffskein sells for 120, so a full inventory of 20 totals 2400 gold. Considering how easy and fast you can capture the critters, it’s a lot of gold!
