Hogwarts Legacy allows the player to fully explore Hogwarts like never before. While the movie tie-in games progressed to the point where you could fully explore Hogwarts, the games were never able to allow the players to explore the area outside of Hogwarts.

In Hogwarts Legacy, you get to explore Hogwarts, as well as the area surrounding it. It’s the first time the Harry Potter franchise allows the player to do such a thing.

With a large map to explore, of course, the developers included some secret puzzles that you can solve for rewards.

All Secrets Locations and Solutions – Hogwarts Legacy

#1 Bridge Secret

There is a secret puzzle that leads to a reward once you complete it.

It is located on the Bridge of Hogwarts. You can find it by using the interactive map we have which is a complete recreation of the Hogwarts Legacy map.

The bridge will have four braziers that you can light up by casting Incendio on them. Once you have done that, look for this on the floor (refer to the image above).

As you can see, there are four different shapes with roman numeral numbers above them. Each shape can be found on the braziers.

What you need to do is to turn the brazier around until it displays the correct roman numeral number that is below the shape.

Here are the solutions:

  • Diamond with X – IV
  • Triangle with a circle at the bottom – III
  • Two circles with a line in the middle – II
  • Triangle with lines – I

Once you have completed the puzzle, you will unlock a passage that leads under the bridge where you can find a large chest.

#2 Pendulum Secret

In the South Wing where the large pendulum is, there is a secret that has something to do with the large pendulum.

This large swinging pendulum can be stopped by using Arresto Momentum

Stopping the pendulum will unlock the gate that blocks the door here. However, that’s not all it can do.

In the room facing the pendulum, go right and you should see a door with a lock. Use Alohomora to open it and climb up the stairs.

You can roam around the area here and find more gates that block the way forward. However, you will notice that the game will sometimes attempt to open, only for it to stop and close right back. You can also see that there are symbols on these gates, ones that are found in the main room.

In the main room, you can find the same symbols across from you, with the pendulum going back and forth between them. A keen eye will realize that when the pendulum passes by some of the symbols, the gate briefly tries to open.

With that in mind, you will need to use Arresto Momentum on the pendulum as it passes by one of the symbols to stop it. Doing so will fully open the gate, allowing you to continue exploring around.

#3 Key of Admittance Secret

The last secret you can find here is in the Grand Staircase Tower. However, you will need to go to the Headmaster’s Office first.

Entering the Headmaster’s Office, look to your left and you should see a locked door that requires a Level 2 Alohomora.

Unlock it and you will be able to go up a flight of stairs.

Up the stairs, you will encounter another locked door. This time, however, you will need to unlock a Level 3 door.

Unlock it and go through it.

Climb up the stairs until you reach another office. Look at the desk and you should find a key.

Pick it up.

The key is used to open this door that has a very intricate lock. Once opened, the door will open to another flight of stairs that leads to a room with a collectible for the Field Guide.

Huge thanks to HarryNinetyFour for the information on where the secrets are and how to solve them. If you want to see the locations in a video format, then you should check out their YouTube video.
