Alohomora is a unique spell in Hogwarts Legacy that allows players to lock any picks. However, locks come in different levels, so you’ll need to upgrade your spell to open stronger locks.
In this guide, we’ll go over what you need to do to get your Alohomora to level 2 quickly.
Level Up Alohomora Spell to Level 2 Quickly

The only way to upgrade the Alohomora spell to level 2 is to first complete the “The Man Behind the Moons” quest.
This quest is unlocked automatically after completing the “The Caretaker’s Lunar Lament” main quest as part of the story.
Once you’ve started “The Man Behind the Moons”, you’ll be able to start gathering up Demiguise Moons from Demiguise Statues for Mr. Moon. Keep in mind that these can only be collected at night.
You will need to collect 9 Demiguise Moons to upgrade Alohomora to Level 2.

A good tip for this is to use Revelio. Like with most other important things, Revelio highlights Demiguise Statues in blue.
Despite there being no other way, we can at least speed things up by telling you where to find the easiest Demiguise Statues. They’re as follows:
Hogwarts Valley: Keenbridge

For this Demiguise Statue, travel to Keenbridge in the center of Hogwarts Valley.
Travel west down the path out of Keenbridge and look for a house with a clothesline that comes from its roof to the ground. There are also some pumpkins on the outside of the house.
Use your Level 1 Alohomora spell on the house’s door to open it. The Demiguise Statue is straight ahead as soon as you enter.
Feldcroft Region: Irondale

Travel to Irondale in the southeastern edge of the Feldcroft Region.
Now, look for a house with a triangular roof with Althea Twiddle sitting on a bench outside. Head inside the house and turn to your right.
You’ll find the Demiguise Statue sitting behind the counter.
South Hogwarts Region: Lower Hogsfield
Travel to Lower Hogsfield south of Hogwarts in the South Hogwarts Region.
Head over to the house southwest of the Floo Flame. If you used the Floo Flame fast travel system, turn around and head into the house on your right as soon as you appear.
You’ll find the Demiguise Statue next to the door as soon as you enter.
South Hogwarts Region: Aranshire
Head to Aranshire on the eastern edge of the South Hogwarts Region.
Enter the house that’s straight north of the Aranshire Floo Flame. Head upstairs to find the Demiguise Statue at the feet of the bed.
Hogsmeade Valley: Upper Hogsfield
This Demiguise Statue is in Upper Hogsfield, in the northern area of Hogsmeade Valley.
Take the path to the north until you reach a house with a wheel next to the entrance. Unlock the door and enter the house to find the Demiguise Statue sitting on a stool.
North Ford Bog: Pitt-Upon-Ford
For this one, you’ll want to head to Pitt-Upon-Ford in North Ford Bog.
Take the path that leads south from the Floo Flame. You’ll eventually see a three-story house to your right. Enter this house and go up the stairs to the top floor.
The Demiguise Statue is on the floor to your left.
Hogwarts Castle – South Wing: Locked Bathroom
Fast travel to the Clock Tower Courtyard Floo Flame in the South Wing of Hogwarts Castle.
Take the door next to the Floo Flame, heading north. Continue straight and go through another door. Now go down the stairs and turn to your left. The Locked Bathroom is the second door on the left.
Unlock the bathroom with your Level 1 Alohomora. Open the out-of-order stall in the center to find a secret room with the Demiguise Statue straight ahead.
Hogwarts Castle – Library Annex: Restricted Section
Fast travel to the Library Floo Flame in the Library Annex inside Hogwarts Castle.
Remember the “Secrets of the Restricted Section” story quest early in the game? Head through the fence leading to the Restricted Section and head down the stairs.
Make your way through the library heading to the stairs on the northeast. Go down the stairs and then through the archway on the right.
The Demiguse Statue is on a desk at the end of the section.
Hogwarts Castle – Library Annex: Divination Classroom
Fast travel to the Divination Classroom Floo Flame in the Library Annex of Hogwarts Castle.
Go up the stairs and then climb the ladder that appears. Turn around and go up the small set of stairs. The Demiguise Statue sits on Professor Onai’s desk.
This is the 9th Demiguise Moon you needed! You can now unlock Level 2 Alohomora.
All that’s left to do now is to return to Gladwin Moon on the South Wing of Hogwarts Castle. You can reach his location easily by fast traveling to the Faculty Room Floo Flame.
Simply speak to him and you’ll unlock Alohomora II, upgrading Alohomora to its second level.
