In the Display Options, the thing that you should focus on is setting the Frame rate to your monitor’s default frame rate.

Then, turn off Motion Blur because it’s a crime to keep that on, and either keep Depth of Field on or off depending on your preference.

Chromatic aberration and Film Grain are all post-processing effects that simulate the game being captured in a camera, it’s all fancy stuff that we really don’t want, and overall, hurts the quality and performance.

For the Graphics settings, some of you might have noticed that the game automatically sets it all to Ultra, as much as it’s a compliment to your system we don’t want that.

Effects Quality can be placed to High along with Material Quality.

Fog and Sky Quality are performance killers due to volumetric clouds and fog so you can put them both to Low.

Foliage Quality can be set to High, you can go lower but the trees and grass might look funky when you’re flying around.

Post-Process Quality should be set to Low to maximize performance while not really damaging quality that much.

Texture Quality can either be Ultra or High depending on your GPU. Meanwhile, View Distance can be set to High.

Population Quality depends on your CPU, if you’re having issues try setting this lower if you have some CPU bottleneck issues.

As much as the developers of this game want to put Ray Tracing, the game really doesn’t perform well out of the box with it for most people. We highly suggest turning all ray tracing options off unless you know what you’re doing.
