As you make your way through your Hogwarts journey, you’ll attend many different classes which will lead to learning new spells and even unlocking some new quests.
Once you have attended your first class with Professor Howin, he will send you out on a quest to go and retrieve an odd creature for him, the Giant Purple Toad.
You will be introduced to this quest after completing the All Fire All Fire quest. Howin will ask you to catch the toad and bring it to the Room of Requirement.
This guide will show you how and where to catch it.
Where to Find a Purple Toad

After Howin has given you the quest, it will be marked on your map so you’ll know exactly where to go.
The map will guide you to the Giant Toad Den as shown in the image above. You will find the den in the middle of the Forbidden Forest.
Before you make your way there make sure you have your Nab-Sack and some potions in case you run into any trouble.
How to Catch a Purple Toad

Once you arrive at the Giant Toad Den, you will find quite a few toads roaming around. Catching them is simple.
Just slowly approach one, use the Levioso spell, and then use the Nab-Sack to catch it. If the toad manages to escape, try again, but approach slower and use Levioso from further away.
After catching the toad, return to Professor Howin. He will then give you the Bombarda spell which is a spell that causes a small explosion
