Surviving long enough on the island while protecting yourself from the natives has a tendency to turn the experience of constant dread into a chore and you never want that as it takes the fun out of the game, especially if you’re a masochist. Fortunately, there are multiple ways to keep your onslaught across the island interesting.
In this guide, we’ll help you go out in style as we search for a golden suit of armor, a katana, and a putter if you ever feel like channeling your inner Driver Nephi!
Sons Of The Forest – Katana, Golden Armor, Putter & Golden Mask Locations
There’s a myriad of weapons and armor that you can find while you’re out and about. Some of these won’t be handed to you for free so make sure you’re well-equipped before you head on out into the wilderness.
You’ll also need the maintenance key for most of these items so keep that close to you as well!
So after getting the maintenance key, you’re ready to head down to the bunker on the southeast side of the island. You can’t miss the place as it’s next to the lake that somewhat resembles the Caspian Sea. In short, you’re headed for the largest inland body of water on the map.
To keep your descent from turning into a disaster make sure that you stock up on ammo as there are a few things down there that need to see the light coming from your boomstick.
Now that you’ve gone past the locked door and the first set of stairs you will come up to a yellow door to your left.
Open that and you will understand the existence of the firearm that’s in your hands. Empty everything you have on the demon child and proceed to the door behind it.
Run past the first room, there should be a doorway on your right in the next hallway that will lead you to the staff room.
Grab the Putter from the corpse on the sofa and get ready to go even deeper.
While backtracking out of the staff room make a right turn, this will take you to another flight of stairs that will lead you to the lower levels – level 2 to be exact.
Thankfully the lower levels have better lighting, now make your way to the second hallway again and turn right, this will take you to another staff room where you can get the katana off from a stand.
The golden armor will be in the room next to the one where you got the katana from. Just make one more right turn as you head back into the hallway and you’ll find it sitting on the same sofa you got the putter from earlier.
With all that gear you’re now ready to show the island’s inhabitants the true way of the warrior. Now get slashing!
