Questlines in Destiny 2 can vary on what you need to do. Some require you to kill X number of enemies, some require you to collect X number of resources, and some require you to complete an activity.
In the case of the Maelstrom questline, you will need to complete the Lost Sector that is located in the Vex Incursion Zone.
In this guide, we will show you how to complete the Lost Sector for the Maelstrom questline.
Complete The Lost Sector Within The Vex Incursion Zone – Destiny 2
When you get to the step in the Maelstrom questline that requires you to complete the Lost Sector, you will see that there is a blue quest marker on the map when you check out Neomuna.
All that is left is to just travel to the Liming Harbor and start the quest.
Getting to the start of the Lost Sector is a bit tricky, as the entrance is hidden from plain sight. You will need to find this vent and destroy the cover and go in.
Follow the path inside and you should reach the other end where you can find another vent cover. Shoot it down and you will be in the Lost Sector.
Entering the first room in the Lost Sector, you will be bombarded with Vex combatants. They will mostly come from the front and to the right.
Your left side should be clear.
Continue forward and you will encounter more Vex through this hallway. Take them out to continue down the hallway and into the next room.
In the next room, there will be a group of Goblins on the left, and one Minotaur on the right.
Focus on the Minotaur first as it has a shield and it does more damage. I suggest throwing a grenade toward the group of Goblins to keep them busy a little.
Up the stairs, there will be more Goblins and another Minotaur waiting. You will need to be careful as you can die here a lot if you do not deal with the previous group of enemies.
Once those groups of enemies are done, continue upward until you reach the second floor of the arcade.
Go through the enemies until you find three Vex’s being surrounded by a force field. Approach it and the force field will blow up.
You can then jump into a portal that takes you into the digital world.
Your next goal is to destroy the main Vex in the middle. However, it is shielded by two cubes on both sides.
You will need to move around on both sides to destroy the cubes that are shielding the Vex in the middle. You will encounter Vex forces here as well, so be careful as you jump around.
To make this easy, there is a weapon you can pick up here called the Arc Cranium. It deals massive damage, so it is worth picking up.
With the Vex in the middle destroyed, the main boss of the Lost Sector, Agon, Strategic Hydra, will show up. Pop your super and use whatever Heavy Ammo you have to destroy it.
After destroying Agon, you can then approach the chest and collect your reward, which also completes the Lost Sector.
