Arcane Odyssey is a game that’s well loved in the Roblox Community with over half a million Favorites and even 43 Million visits. It was created way back in 2019 but is constantly being updated and has a lot of content to go through. The game is more of an RPG where you sail around islands, attacking ships, doing quests and being either a Hero or a Villain. What are the differences between that two though and which one is the best to play as? These questions are answered in this article as we show you the difference between the two in game!
Heroes vs. Villains Which Is Better? – Arcane Odyssey
So how do you even become a Hero or a Villain in Arcane Odyssey? Well it’s quite simple actually, with each side having their own point system. For Heroes they need Fame, which they can get from saving ships from attack and doing quests. For Villains they have their Bounty and Notoriety, which they can get from attacking any ship, steal from people and kill people.
You can already tell that there’s more options for the Villains to get not only their Bounty up but also get more gold in the process. Let me explain the difference and how it’s better to be a Villain in the game.
Crime Does Pay!
Villains have one downside and that’s when you need to talk to people in ports. You can only get your ship repaired on one island in the map, so you can easily get soft locked by not having enough ship HP to get there. It’s also quite annoying since you need to go back to that one island all the time.
The good thing about Villains though is their options of getting loot and bounty. They can attack any ship, then can even plunder people in rivers and all of that jazz. You can kill people, attack ships and go back with a huge haul, just as long as you know when to come back.
Unlike Villains Heroes can only attack certain ship types, and are limited to that and quests when getting fame. It’s much harder to get resources and fame as a Hero. You can use any outpost though unlike the Villain so you don’t have to worry about hauling back to one island all the time.
Congratulations you now know which side is better in Arcane Odyssey, though this is really up to preference. If you want more of a challenge then you can go with being a Hero while if you want it easy you can go with playing as a Villain in the game!

I LOVE this game and have played since it was WOM…. I disagree with villain being easier. You can make money faster, but, once you get to a certain point as a villain, you can barely log in before everyone from the grand navy, to your grand mother is trying to kill you and take your bounty. You can’t just play the game. Literally the moment you’re logging in every hero on the server is magnetically T-posed to your location. It would be much better if as a villain you could buy disguises or something to have some sort of anonymity, so you can actually play as a villain.
