What’s better than introducing the queen’s broadside to a band of disorganized water ruffians you say? That would be AOE spells, something the Mages of Arcane Odyssey are more than capable of doing. Just when your enemies think that you’re done firing, here you are sending a literal meteor strike their way, erasing their entire existence from the world of magic.
If dealing damage from afar sounds like something you would enjoy doing then check out this Mage Guide and see if you can cast something bigger than a fireball.
Mage Guide – Arcane Odyssey
Living their lives surrounded by nothing but knowledge and endless amounts of studying, Mages have been in the good graces of nobles and other authority figures who can’t seem to do any proper amount of work themselves.
The only thing you have to worry about mages is the fact that they can be easily compared to a sheet of paper when it comes to defense, but even that can be taken care of most of the time with just a hint of magic!
The first thing you have to know is what element to go with if you’re ever going as a mage, these would be crystal, earth, and metal, they have the biggest AOE in the game which means you don’t have to do any precise mouse movement to aim while fighting.
You can also do combos with Fire and Magma, these will increase your burn damage significantly when you get the Scorch effect and are made even better if you get to paralyze your opponent with lightning and water.
Make sure to increase your power and defense only, attack size doesn’t matter as much if you’re going to put your ultimate art on your explosion.
Another way of doing things is getting agility and power instead so you can be a runaway mage, what you’ll be doing, for the most part, is throwing spells at your enemies while flanking them, if the playing field is big enough that is.
That should cover the basics of what you should focus on as a Mage in Arcane Odyssey, if spamming magic is your style then go ahead and try out the role for yourself!
If not then maybe something different would be more to your liking. Like a Berserker, perhaps?
