DREDGE: Caught to Order Quest Guide

Fish for deep sea horrors!

Most people know what lies in store for you down there in the deep blue sea, nothing pleasant that’s for sure. But why would that stop anyone from asking you to actually go there and keep on fishing just shows how utterly brave or silly the average person can be.

In Dredge, quest-givers say the darnedest things that make you question their sanity instead of your own, they know the dangers and will pay top dollar for you to take the whole brunt of it.

Check out this guide for the quest Caught to Order if you don’t like sticking your neck out for others that much!

Caught to Order Quest Guide | DREDGE

What you’ll need for this quest is a fishing pole – preferably a flexible one, and a short trip to the Greater Marrows.

Talk to the local Fishmonger at least three times in order to get started, you’ll do this quest during the day so there’s no need to be on the edge of your seat just yet.

To complete the quest the fishmonger will ask you to catch some gulf flounder and grey eel, they can be easily yoinked out of the shallow waters during the day. Get those from the nearby disturbed waters and go back to the fishmonger for the next phase.

Now he’ll ask you to fill in an order for one Black Grouper and Two Arrow Squids, you’ll be able to get away with sticking close to the shore for the grouper but you’ll have to wait for nightfall to fish for some squid.

Go back to him once more with your catch and he’ll give you a Crab Pot for his new business venture. You’ll be using this item to catch Fiddler Crabs and Common Crabs.

He’ll start selling them for $100 a unit so for the love of Neptune, don’t forget where you leave them. Some people can survive an entire week with that amount of money!

With that out of the way, feel free to leave the pots out in the open for a day or two to increase your chances of catching the crabs. Have enough room in your inventory for the Fiddler as well, it eats a good 2×3 of your grid so keep that in mind.

You’ll get about $52.98 back from selling one Fiddler and Common crab so buying the crab pots won’t hurt too much as long as you immediately make good use of them.

For the Fishmonger’s last trick, he’ll ask you to get a mutated fish. If you’re lucky, you can just sail a few meters away from the docks and get an All-Seeing Cod nearby. He’ll give you $68 for your trouble along with Two Research parts, something you’ll need to gather plenty of to progress further without dying as much.

That’s all you need to do to finish Caught to Order!

Nothing too spicy as you’re still in the early parts of the game, things will definitely take a turn for the worst once you sail further from the coasts!
