Just when you thought you’ve seen it all, the game keeps finding ways to throw new things your way the more you progress further. While you’re out exploring, there should’ve been a few sights that you managed to see in the corner of your eye but never really paid attention to it that much.

We’re talking about the Figure in Gold that resides in one of the southern islands! Curious? Good!

That’s what a Lovecraftian protagonist should aspire to be.

If you still haven’t crossed paths with the hooded figure then check out the guide along with the quest that comes with it!

Figure in Gold Guide | Dredge

The Figure in Gold pursuit is going to be one in a set of four pursuits where you interact with strange beings that enjoy having a bit of quality time in hard-to-reach places.

For the golden figure, you’ll need to head to an unmarked island in between Gale Cliffs and Stellar Basin.

Three separate islands are worth checking out but your target is sitting by the bay on the biggest one.

The hooded figure doesn’t talk much, but he does like communicating through the use of scrolls, one of these scrolls has a Red Snapper drawn on it.

Yeah, you guessed it! It’s a fetch quest, and to shake things up a bit this one’s timed.

Lucky for you there’s a nearby deposit of Red Snapper that you’ll have no trouble getting to as it’s just along the coast. Bring that back to the hooded being and you’ll receive another scroll.

Your next fishing spot will take you to the Starlight Pontoon, here you’ll be looking for a Fangtooth. Yank that abomination out of the water and make haste back to the island over at K2.

The hooded creature (yes it’s a creature at this point, you’ll find out why) will perform a few tricks on the poor thing once you put it in his inventory, tricks like ripping its heart out with its bare teeth.

Whoa there friend, the show’s not over yet! You have one more scroll to go, and this time it’s a Blue Crab.

If you don’t have any spare crab pots lying around then head on over to the traveling merchant at the Dusty Spontoon to buy one and return to the Stellar Basin Research Outpost, leave them there for a few days while checking in on hood guy to make sure he hasn’t kicked the bucket yet during your absence.

Once you return with the crab your eyes are treated to yet another spectacle of nature where the concealed yellow silhouette continues to display its lack of table manners when it comes to dealing with seafood.

You’re given a book for your troubles and the fellow falls into a deep sleep shortly afterward, thus finishing the quest.

Sheesh! Here’s hoping his other friends behave more rationally!

Here we have Alexis, he's been gaming ever since the second Famicom came out. Which is probably the reason why he goes back to platformers every now and then. Somewhere down the line he started getting more and more fascinated about looking at maps change colors for three to eight hours straight. If he's not out strategizing and beating the life out of his space bar in that order there's a good chance you can find him playing an FPS or talking someone's ear out about how game balance gets in the way of realism. You can tell that he really likes getting the full experience of whatever he gets his hands on.
