How to Reach the Mountain – Survival: The Fountain of Youth

More and more games these days are going the open-world route when designing their game. It’s fun to see these massive worlds and find out what they offer. The problem lies in traversing these massive worlds, and not a lot of games make it fun. It’s usually a chore and if you want it quicker then you’ll have to stare at a loading screen which breaks immersion. Still, it’s great to explore them for the first time!

In Survival: The Fountain of Youth you try to survive as a castaway explorer. Sail around islands and explore them while trying to stay alive. In this guide we’ll show you how to reach the mountain on the starting island!

Survival: The Fountain of Youth – How to Reach the Mountain

At the first few hours of Survival: The Fountain of Youth you’re tasked with reaching the mountain on the island. This is after finding the Grotto at the start and looking for the spyglass. Once you’ve reached this point remember where you found the spyglass because that’s important to orient yourself!

There’s a lot of paths to get on top of the mountain but we’ll only be tackling one of the easier paths to get there.

When you open your map, you’ll need to go to the Chronicles shown above. You might have passed this place already if came from the Grotto going to where the Spyglass was.

Now orient yourself like the image above, from there you’ll be looking at the Chronicles. Look behind you and you’ll see the path up the mountain.

Going up this path is easy enough, just stick to the mountain and use the wooden scaffolding to get even higher. Watch out for dangerous animals along the path though since they can be quite annoying!

Once you reach a cave, you’ll know that you’re close by. Go to the ruins on the other side of the cave and a small animation will play. This will guide you to the next part of the main story line!
