Now that you have a little more freedom to move around, you can start taking in side quests from the local celebrities near Emma’s mansion in Dead Island 2. One of them will start calling out to you through the fancy intercoms they have by the driveway.
Get close enough and The Death of The Party quest will begin, with Curtis asking you to search his property for a woman that he nearly shot. Who knew that people would actually cower in fear when homeowners defend their property from flesh eaters? There’s a few more things to do at Curtis’ place, and you’re the guest of honor so don’t keep the old man waiting!

As the gates open you’ll see a Zombie eating out the girl Curtis was looking for, quite literally. You’re next objective now is to find other survivors within the property and maybe even save Curtis himself in the process. You won’t be getting past any of the doors as they’re shut tight, so that’s another thing to keep an eye on during your search.
Follow the sign on the left side of the driveway that says “Guests This Way”, this will lead you to the garden area filled with undead party goers. Clear them out after the heater does some of the work for you by exploding without warning. Lure the zombies towards the fire as well if you like the weapon you’re currently swinging around.
After every party crasher gets sent to hell, Curtis will express his willingness to join you over at Emma’s Mansion, if you can help him climb down the stairs. He also informs you of his oppulence by talking about the Stannah stairlift he uses to get down on a daily basis. Unfortunately, the power to this has been cut off so walk to the pool house and down the stairs to the south to get to the breaker room.
Treat yourself to a little bit of electroshock therapy by connecting the two wires with some water. There’s a jerry can right outside of the breaker room that you can use for just such an occasion. Go back to Curtis and tell him that you’ve “restored” the power to the mansion to get inside.
He really had no plans on using the stairs from the very beginning because half of it has been blown to pieces, luckily the rail is still intact so turn on the switch to send Curtis your way. The zombies will be attracted to the noise so start swinging! Curtis’ nephew Tony will make his presence known here as well, he doesn’t look like a welcome guest so there’s no real reason for him to be left walking around while conscious.
To complete “The Death of the Party” side quest, check in on Curtis one last time for a little bit of dialog. Anything in his house is yours now, hopefully it stays that way once the apocalypse passes. He’ll make his own way back to Emma’s regardless of the danger so your job here is done!
Now you can continue your quest and get to the evac center at the Halperin Hotel, they seem to be having problems with their pool so that might be worth checking out.
