Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’s story revolves around Cal’s desire to keep his loved ones, his family, safe while also fighting against the Empire. So, when an old High Republic droid named Zee tells Cal that there is a safe place called Tanalorr, he jumps into action to get there quickly.
His first lead is to visit the Basalt Forest, which is unfortunately locked behind a gate. Luckily, Zee gives Cal a key to open the gate. In this guide, we’re going to show you how to open the gate so Cal can get to the forest as fast as possible.
Open the Forest Gate Guide
After getting a key from Zee that allows him to open the forest gate, Cal moves quickly before anyone else can blow it open. From the saloon, make your way to Swindler’s Wash. There are plenty of ways to get there, so choose the route that best suits you.
Make your way to the Meditation Point and meditate there to unlock the fast travel point. It’s not part of the objective, but it helps getting around faster.
Once you are done meditating, follow the stream up until you see the beast at the end. You will need to kill it in order to continue.
Once the beast is down, you will need to go behind the waterfall and wall run across and jump to the ledge. However, considering how there are little to no invisible barriers to this game, you can most likely jump up the ledge until you can hang from it. The game won’t stop you.
Once you’re up the ledge, follow the path down until you see a ship drop some droids down. Take them out and continue climbing up.
You will soon reach the gate, which is being guarded by Bedlam Raiders. Take them out and approach the gate. Interacting with it will open the gate, allowing you access to the Basalt Forest.
