Tears of the Kingdom: Susuyai Shrine Guide | Hyrule Field Legend of Zelda

Better watch your lanes.

The Susuyai Shrine found in the Hyrule field is one of the more challenging shrines in the game due to the complexity of the puzzles involved. However, this guide should help you to complete the shrine with relative ease so that you can get back to exploring Tears of the Kingdom.

Susuyai Shrine Guide

  1. Get to the shrine using the coordinates given on the map
  2. Shoot the wheels of the cart with the chest in order to stop it and obtain the contents of the chest
  3. Use Ultrahand ability to position the cart against the moving floor and, when on top of it, hit it to move to the opposite side.
  4. Use the Rewind ability on the revolving mechanism to open the door OR attach one of the wheels from the cart you rode on.
  5. Use Ultrhand to attach one of the wheels on the platform and then the platform itself on the railing to move across.

Detailed Walkthrough for Susuyai Shrine

Starting, you will want to get to the shrine’s entrance, which is at the following coordinates. -0788, -0441, 0017

Location of the shrine

Interacting with the entrance should transport you inside the shrine, and walking forward, you will see the first part of the shrine with three moving carts in different lanes.

The three carts

You will want to get to the cart that has the chest on it, but with care since the carts in the way can hit you and cause damage. Once in the vicinity of the cart, shoot one of its wheels to make it stop. Once this is done, you can climb on top of it to get five arrows from the chest.

The middle cart with the chest

Carrying on, you might have noticed the slab with two wheels attached to it and two wheels lying beside it just before the moving platform. Although you can fix this to make it a functional cart we recommend using one of the carts from the previous steps to avoid the hassle of reassembling the broken cart.

Once the chest is opened, you will have to use the Ultrahand ability to move the cart with the chest against the beginning of the moving platform.

After doing this, jump on the cart and hit it in order to make it move onto the platform, and this will carry you to the other side.

Getting the platform to move

Next, hit the cart once again to make it stop. On your right-hand side, you will notice a contraption used to open the door in front of you. Moving this will cause the door to open but only temporarily as leaving it will cause the door to close immediately.

Crossing the moving floor

There are two approaches to this problem. The first one involves the use of the Recall ability, but if you don’t have it, then you can rely on the second approach, which uses the wheels from the cart you rode on.

Simply use the Ultrahand ability to remove one of the wheels from the cart and attach it to one of the spokes of the contraption. Once this is done, hit the wheel to keep the contraption moving, providing you with a passage to the next room.

Attaching the wheel to the spoke

Upon entering this room, you will notice two wheels on the ground and a platform near the railing. The first thing to do is to get the platform closer to yourself so that it can be modified using the wheels on the left.

Repositioning the platform to modify it

Next, you want to use Ultrahand to attach one of the wheels to the top of the platform.

Attaching the wheel onto the root of the platform

Once this is done, use Ultrahand to pick up the modified platform and place it upon the railing.

Putting the modified platform back onto the rail

Finally, you will want to jump on this platform and shoot the wheel, and this will carry you across to the other side of the room.

Shooting the wheel

Once on the other side, interact with the Statue to obtain the Light of Blessing, and you are done with another shrine.

The Susuyai Shrine is considered slightly complex due to the multiple possible solutions to the puzzle. However, assuming that you follow this guide, you should have no issue getting through this shrine. If you found any other ways to get through this shrine, let us know in the comments.
