In Tears of the Kingdom, there are Shrines scattered on the Sky Islands. Speaking of the floating Islands, there is one shrine found in the Hebra Mountains Sky, named the Ijo-o. The easiest way to reach this shrine is by using the Rospro Pass Skyview Tower. Be ready to scour the sky! Also, you might create a jetpack on this one.
In this article, I will show you how you can unlock the Ijo-o Shrine, where it is found, what enemies you will face inside, where to find the hidden treasure, and how you can reach the floating island by using your glider. As mentioned with the other shrine guides. You will be rewarded accordingly for the effort of unlocking any shrines.
Ijo-o Shrine Guide | Hebra Mountains Sky

Here’s a complete walkthrough of the Ijo-o Shrine:
- Firstly, after entering the shrine, head straight and you will see a passage blocked by a huge block of ice. To destroy the ice, look to your right and you will see a construct that has a flame-emitter shield. The construct is easy to kill with only a few hits. Be careful though, it might burn you with its flame attack. Once killed, pick up the shield and use it to melt the ice. You can now proceed to the next room.
- Once you enter the second room. You will immediately see flamethrower traps that are activated. Look to your left and you will see another construct. But this time, instead of a flamethrower, it is using a stone slab as a shield. Eliminate the construct and use the shield to block the flames and get past the next room. Also, on the right side of the room is a block of ice. Melt the ice using the Flame-emitter shield. to collect the hidden treasure. The treasure contains Arrow x5.
- After reaching the final area, there is one final enemy. Defeat the Captain Construct. You can take the weapons the construct drops if you have enough storage in your inventory. You will see a bunch of rockets on either side. All you need to do is find a rusty shield lying around the corner of the room.
- Lastly, if you have managed to find the rusty shield in the final room. All you need to do is create a jetpack. To create a jetpack, Use the Fuse ability or Ultrahand ability to attach the shield and rocket together. You only need to use one rocket. There is no need to attach multiple rockets to the shield. The last area is above the platform. Activate the shield to launch yourself into the air. Jump before it explodes then glide your way through the shrine.
Location & How to Unlock Shrine
This specific shrine is found on the Sky Islands of the West Hybra Sky Archipelago. I recommend you fast-travel to the Rospro Skyview Tower. From there you will be launched into the air and glide your way to the island. I will provide the whole walkthrough to unlock the Ijo-o Shrine. Here is what you need to do:
- First, go to the Rospro Pass Skyview Tower. Be sure you have unlocked this tower in order to use its launch pad function. This is the gateway to the sky islands. The tower is located in the Hebra Mountain region. I will include the coordinates of the tower: -3686, 2342, 0233
- After that, once you are in the air, glide towards the island just to your left. Make sure to use your glider at the right moment so you won’t miss the landing spot. I suggest you open your glider once you reach the highest point after you are launched into the sky. I have included the coordinates of the island as well. -3856, 2686, 0702
- As soon as you reach the island, head straight to the shrine entrance. It is a big rock with a green aura coming out from the top, as can be seen in the picture below. Interact with the stone to open a portal that will get you inside the shrine. Be prepared for the challenges that await you inside.
In short, unlocking the shrine is not too complicated after all. All you need to do are simple and easy. Follow my instructions on how to reach the shrine, follow the coordinates for better map navigation, Kill all the enemies, and use their items to your advantage. Create a Jetpack or any vehicles to overcome any obstacles if necessary. Unlocking the shrines will give you the Light of Blessing!
