Tears of the Kingdom: How To Survive Cold Weather & Stop Freezing

A little chilly outside, eh?

Video games have come a long way since the beginning. We are introduced to gameplay mechanics where even the temperature of the environment affects the character we are controlling. In Tears of the Kingdom, we come across multiple areas that can either be too hot or too cold, which then affects Link in a negative way.

But don’t fret, because there is a way to combat these harsh conditions. In this guide, I will show you how you can stay warm during the cold weather, stopping yourself from freezing to death.

How To Survive Cold Weather & Stop Freezing

To combat the harsh cold, the best way to do so is by acquiring the Snowquill armor set. The Snowquill armor set provides Cold Resistance from both the weather and cold attacks from enemies. To get the armor set, you will need to go to Rito Village and visit the Armor Shop. The coordinates to the village are -3624, -1796, 0187.

Once at the village, head to the Armor Shop and you will find the Snoquill armor set on display. The armor set in total costs 2150 Rupees. 1000 for the Snowquill Trousers, 500 for the Snowquill Tunic, and 650 for the Snowquill Headdress.

After purchasing the armor set, equip the set and the Cold Resistance will immediately be applied to Link. It’s most effective to wear all three armor pieces, but wearing two also works.
