Hebra’s Colossal Fossil is a side quest in Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom, where players are expected to complete the skeleton of a Leviathan. This quest poses a challenge for many players due to the trouble in locating the missing bones and putting them back into place. However, this detailed guide will take you through each step to ensure you can reassemble the Leviathan without any hassle.

Hebra’s Colossal Fossil Guide

  1. Starting off, you want to head to the location of the quest marked on your map. When you get closer to the waypoint, you will find an entrance that opens into a large cave.
  2. Upon entering the cave, you want to head towards the campfire, where you will find Loone.
  3. Talking to Loone will reveal the quest objectives to find the Leviathan’s fin and spine bone and put them back into place.
  4. After talking to Loone at the edge of the cliff, if you look in the distance towards the left, you will see something poking from the cliffside. This is the missing fin bone.
  5. Head over to the bone, and you will find a weak rock formation that is holding the bone in place. Simply attach a bomb flower to your bow and shoot it at the rocks to dislodge the bone.
  6. Now using the Ultrahand ability, carry the bone to the fin, and while making sure that it is vertical, try to fit it into the depression. Keep rotating the bone until it snaps into place.
  7. Moving on, if you head North of the fin’s location towards the right, you will find a huge chunk of ice. Equip Fire Fruit and throw them at the ice, causing it to melt. This reveals the spine bone.
  8. Using Ultrahand, carry the spine bone to its location and, same as before, keep rotating it within the blank space until it snaps into place.
  9. Finally, return to Loone to complete the quest and receive your reward.

Upon reaching the campfire, talk to Loone, who will tell you which bones the Leviathan is missing. The first bone is its fin bone.

Missing spine bone

When you are done talking with Loone, glide off the cliff towards the left, where you will see a bone poking from the cliff. This is the Leviathan’s fin bone.

Fin bone location
