Tears of the Kingdom: Balloon, Fan, Portable Pot & Time Bomb Location

You’ve probably seen a lot of those videos of people making crazy machines in Tears of the Kingdom. From simple boats that let you traverse water faster to high altitude bombers making them can be fun in the game. The thing is you’ll need to know where to get the devices to build those contraptions!

In this guide we’ll show you where you can find get Ballons, Fans, Portable Pots and even Time Bombs in the game. So, let’s find these devices and build our dream machine!

Balloon, Fan, Portable Pot & Time Bomb Location

In Tears of the Kingdom, the best way to find devices to build your machines is through a Gacha Machine. The game calls it a Device Dispenser but it clearly looks like a Gacha dispenser. There’s a lot of these dispensers on the map but each one only dispenses certain items.

Here’s the steps we’ll take in finding the Dispenser for the items:

Go to Courage Island via a Skyview Tower.
Do the Courage Island Challenge.
Place Zonai Charges into the Device Dispenser.
Get the Items!

To get to the Device Dispenser, you’ll first need to go on top of Courage Island. In our guide on the Courage Island challenge, we go more in-depth on how to do just that. We also explain how to do the challenge, which you’ll need to do to get to the Dispenser!

Once you finish the challenge you can then get out of the little pond. There next to the newly spawned Shrine from the challenge is the Dispenser. I like to call them for what they actually are, Gacha machines.

At the base of the machine, is a place where you can drop Zonai Charges. These are the charges you get from killing enemies, so you probably have a lot of them already. You can put at most 5 of them onto the machine, doing so will result in more items the dispenser drops.

Once you’ve dropped them all there a short cutscene will play. The dispenser will then drop balls container the items and all you need to do is pick them up! The items you get are random so make sure to place a lot of charges to get a lot of them!
