When going through the many caves in Tears of the Kingdom you might notice some frogs hanging around the walls. Those are Bubbul Frogs and when you defeat them, you’ll get Bubbul Gems. These gems can be exchanged for cool items like different kinds of masks so it’s great to look for them if you can. The problem is that they’re often hidden in secret areas in the cave.
In this guide, we’ll show you where to find the Bubbul Frog in the West Gerudo Underground Ruins. Now get your bow ready and hope you like sand!
West Gerudo Underground Ruins Bubbul Frog Location
- Locate the West Gerudo Underground Ruins by going to the coordinates: -4673, -1977, 0024;
- Break ground to gain entrance to the ruins;
- Navigate the ruins;
- Locate and defeat the Bubbul Frog;
- Get the Bubbul Gem!

Detailed Walkthrough
To get to the West Gerudo Underground Ruins you’ll need to head to the west-southwest of Karusa Valley. It’s also northwest of the West Barrens and south of Rutimala Hills. The coordinates for the ruins is -4673, -1977, 0024.
You’ll spot the ruins and a crack on the ruin’s grounds. Go there and equip a weapon that can do a jumping slam attack like a Hammer weapon. You’ll need to go inside the crack and do a jumping slam attack to destroy the obstacle and drop down to the ruins.
It’ll take a few slam attacks, but you’ll get there eventually.
Once you’re inside go through the ruins and at the first area go right. Then as you see the area shown below, go left.
This will lead to a room with some metal bars at the front. To the left is a small hole you can go inside to go to another room.
In that room you’ll find the Bubbul Frog either on a wall, the ceiling or on the ground. Now all you need to do is defeat it!
Once you defeat the Bubbul Frog you’ll get the Bubbul Gem!
