If you’ve been playing the previous Zelda games or have been playing Tears of the Kingdom long enough, you’ll know the game loves their puzzles. There’s a lot of side quests that you can do in the game and most of them involve some sort of puzzle. Some of these puzzles can be easy while others can be quite difficult.
In this guide, we’ll show you how to do the side quest Misko’s Treasure Twins Manuscript, a side quest that involves some puzzle solving. Now, let’s see what this side quest is all about.
Misko’s Treasure Twins Manuscript Side Quest Guide
Some of the side qeusts in Tears of the Kingdom can be quite confusing. Not all of them are straight forward and some require some extra steps. This side quest has a puzzle to solve.
Here are the steps we’ll be taking to do this side quest:
- Get the quest from Domidak near the Cephla Lake Cave at around 2611, 1312, 0149.
- (Optional) Find the Puzzle Solution at Dueling Peaks North Cave at 1193, -1859, 0159.
- Locate the Dueling Peaks South Cave at 1182, -1942, 0245.
- Solve the puzzle in the cave.
- Open the chest and get the item!

Detailed Walkthrough
First off, to start the quest you’ll first need to go to the western shores of the Cephla Lake near the Cephla Lake Cave. There you’ll find Domidak and Prissen, you can talk to them and pay 100 Rupees for the Manuscripts. This will start the quest.
Their coordinates are 2611, 1312, 0149. You don’t really need to buy the manuscripts to get the items but you do need to buy them to start the side quest.
Once you buy the Twins manuscript, you’ll want to go to the Dueling Peaks. The actual chest is in the Dueling Peaks South Cave but there’s a puzzle there, and the solution is in the Dueling Peaks North Cave. If you want to see to solution, you’ll need to go to the north cave first. The coordinates for it are 1193, -1859, 0159.
Once you enter the cave and reach the end you can look to the ceiling and there, you’ll see the solution for the puzzle. The colored circles are where we’ll want to place the rocks on the actual puzzle.
Once you’ve done that you can then go to the Dueling Peaks South Cave. The coordinates for the cave are: 1182, -1942, 0245.
Once you enter the cave, you’ll need to climb a bit to reach the puzzle area. Once you reach the area you’ll see a couple of rocks and some pressure plates lined up in a triangle.
If you don’t’ remember the solution from the north cave you can look at the solution below. The red circles are the rocks you’ll need to place on the right square. You can either carry them by hand or use Ultrahand.
Once you’ve placed the last rock in place a short cutscene will play and it’ll open the way to the chest. You can then just walk up to it and open it! Inside is Tingle’s Shirt!
