When you complete story quests in Disney Dreamlight Valley with other Characters, you will gain Friendship scores that improve the relationship between you and that character. The ‘A Lost Book’ is one of the quests that give you Friendship points.
During this quest, you will learn that The Fairy Godmother borrowed a book from Merlin but she lost it. To help her, you are going on a mission to help the villagers while she stays busy searching for the book. However, you will eventually have to help her find the book as well…
A Lost Book Quest Walkthrough
In the beginning of the Quest, you will help the Fairy Godmother fulfill the Villagers’ wishes. There are requests from three characters that you will need to accomplish. As a result, you will need to find 1 Pumpkin Soup for Anna, 100 Sticks for Olaf and 3 Amethysts for Ursula. You can find sticks randomly on the ground in almost every biome and are quite easy to find.
In order to find Amethysts, you can find these gems by mining rock nodes using the pickaxe. The gems can be found inside nodes in the Forgotten Lands and Frosted Heights
Next, let’s learn how to cook the soup for Anna. At the beginning of the quest, you will receive a cooking recipe for it, use the recipe to unlock the dish.
In order to cook the Pumpkin Soup, you will need to add one Vegetable of any type, Milk, Ginger and Pumpkin. Here’s how to get all the ingredients. You can find Ginger growing on the ground in the Forgotten Lands. For Pumpkins, you can find these by harvesting Pumpkin Seeds, or purchase these from Goofy’s Stall in the Forgotten Lands for 996 Coins.
You can buy Milk from Chez Remy near to the right of the Plaza.
Then, place your ingredients in the pot.
After that, open up your mini map and find the locations of Anna, Olaf, and Ursula. Next, walk to their location according to what the map tells you to do and give them the items.
After that, you will need to clean up the Fairy Godmother’s House by cleaning the Wooden Piles after you enter her house. When you get into her house, walk up to the piles and interact with them to clean them up.
After that, when you have cleaned all the wooden piles, a book will appear. The book will start floating in the air before it falls down on the floor. Next, interact with the book to pick it up and you have found the Merlin’s Book! Then, talk to the Fairy Godmother and start a conversation.
After finishing the conversation with The Fairy Godmother, you will need to go to Merlin’s house. In his house, you will find a bookshelf which you can interact with. On interaction with the bookshelf, you will see an option to transfer the missing book.
There you go, you have finished the A Lost Book Quest. On completion of this quest, you will receive 700 Friendship Scores with the Fairy Godmother. Compared to other quests, 700 is a very large number. With more points, you will greatly increase the relationship scores with this Character in the game.
