In your journey of slaying demons and monsters in Diablo 4, you’ll eventually encounter some NPCs asking for your help. Now this can either be a main quest or a side quest. Regardless of which type of quest they give, you’re rewarded accordingly.

In this article, I will provide a walkthrough on how to complete the Salt Begets Salts side quest. This will include the NPCs you need to interact with and all the important locations for you to accomplish the objectives of the quest.

NOTE: If you already have the quest started, you can skip this section.

To start the quest, you must talk to Jargal. He is found in the lower area of Jirandai in the region of Dry Steppes as shown in the picture below. Approach and interact with Jargal. He will ask you to find a goat. Diablo 4: Salt Begets Salts GuideDiablo 4: Salt Begets Salts Guide

After interacting with Jargal, you can now start the hunt for Tuji the goat. Here’s the whole walkthrough on how to find Tuji.

  1. First, you need to go to the Ruins of Qara-Yisu. This is the place where Tuji is found. If you have cleared the stronghold in this area, you can use the Qara-Yisu Waypoint. Diablo 4: Salt Begets Salts Guide
  2. Go inside the ruins to find the body of Tuji, the picture below shows the exact location of where you need to be. After finding the body, get close and interact with it to pick it up. Diablo 4: Salt Begets Salts Guide
  3. Return to Jargal with the body of Tuji to finish the quest. You can fast-travel to the location using the Jirandai Waypoint. This will save you some time traveling across the region. You will be rewarded with 20 Renown, 2,280 Gold, and 16,160 XP. It’s not much I would say. But, I would still accept this.

Nothing feels better than helping NPCs with their cry for help. However, it can be tragic sometimes knowing that they lost their pet. There’s a lot more of a quest out in the region. All you need to do is start talking to NPCs and you might start a side quest.
