You can meet a variety of different Disney characters from Remy to Donald Duck these characters can be interacted with and they even give you quests. These quests are sometimes fun and engaging while some of them are just fetch quests, still if you’re a fan of Disney nothing will be boring in this wonderland of characters! Disney Dreamlight Valley: A Dark Experiment Quest Guide
The quest “A Dark Experiment” is a quest you can get from Merlin; a character old Disney fans might remember from A Sword in the Stone. In the first parts of the quest, you’ll need to gather certain items that Merlin asked you to get, these items include: Mushrooms, Emeralds, and Purified Night Shards.
The first item you’ll need to get are Mushrooms. These items can be found in the Glade of Trust where you can find mushrooms growing on the ground. You’ll need 20 mushrooms so you’ll probably need a few trips in the Glade before you get enough. A nice tip is to get characters like Wall-E that give a bonus to harvesting Wild Crops and Fruits.
The next items are Emeralds and you can find them in the Glade of Trust or Forest of Valor. So if you haven’t found some at one place try the other place. You can get them by using your pickaxe on mining nodes around the map. It’s not guaranteed that you’ll get some so be patient and keep trying.
The last item on the list is Purified Night Shards. You’ll need to craft them by combining Night Shards and Purified Shards. To get Night Shards you’ll need to go around and look for these shiny buried nodes on the ground that have a chance of giving you some.
Once you have all that you need just go back to Merlin and give him all the materials. He’ll then upgrade your watering can. You’ll need to use it on patches of Mushrooms around the village to remove them.
Afterwards you’ll just need to go back and talk to Merlin and the quest will be over!
