Depending on when you are reading this, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is already out or has been out for those who own the premium edition. As you would expect, the game is full of mysteries to uncover, and some players seem to be stumped by one part of the A Date to Remember quest. This guide will show you how to get that darn chest open!
A Date to Remember Guide
Once you have progressed far enough into the game, you can now gain access to one part of the quest that a marker would try to lead you through even before you could get there. More specifically, you need to get the quest known as “A Nun in Trouble” first.
Now, for A Date to Remember itself, you are going to find a Code Lookup Table, a Secret Delivery Letter, and a Calendar Page all on (or in) a single table. These contain all of the hints you need in order to crack the code for the chest nearby.
Here is what clues you’ll notice in each of them:
- Code Lookup Table – There are four numbers encircled under “Wednesday” (in Italian), and they correspond to the letters C, D, E, and I.
- Calendar Page – There is a note written under October 20, 1937, which is a Wednesday.
- Secret Delivery Letter – It tells you that the Code Key is “DICE”, and that the shipment arrived on October 15, 1937.

Based on the clues above, the encircled numbers at the Code Lookup Table clearly show which values correspond to the word “DICE” on Wednesday, which is the 20th. Based on that, the code is supposedly “4718”, but the note says that this is incorrect.
This is because, according to the Secret Delivery Letter, the date of arrival should have been on the 15th, which is actually a Friday. With that in mind, take a look at the Code Lookup Table once more and check the correct values under “Venerdi”, which should be the following:
- C = 8
- D = 6
- E = 0
- I = 3
With these values, we can now get the code “6380” by rearranging them to form the word “DICE”. This is the correct code for the chest, so just go ahead an input it to open the container and complete the side quest!
