AI: SOMNIUM FILES – nirvanA Initiative is a thinking game. While it is the style of a visual novel, it doesn’t mean you can skip some dialogue and cutscenes and expect to know what to do. However, if you’re the kind of player that does that, then you’re going to be in a lot of trouble with nirvanA Initiative. If you need help in finishing Chikara’s Somnium, then you’ve come to the right place.

Chikara’s Somnium Walkthrough – AI: SOMNIUM FILES – nirvanA Initiative

Clearing Chikara’s Somnium is required in order to progress through the story. However, with the complexity of the location and the environment, players can often be confused about what to do and where to go.

There are 4 Mental Locks in the Somnium that prevents Ryuki and his team from solving the case. The first objective in this Somnium is to activate the experimental device. When taking control of your character, head to the blue door on your left.

The experimental device is a statue with half of its body missing. Activating the statue will then result in the first Mental Lock to be unlocked and a computer in the main room to be accessible.

The next objective is to activate the right front temporal love statue. Head back to the main room and access the PC. You will then come across three choices: Fisherman, Maasai Warrior, and NA. Select Masai Warrior and another set of choices will appear: Astronaut and Archaeologist. Select Astronaut.

Once you select the correct choices, return to where you found the first experimental device and you’ll be able to access the platform that requires a jump.

Once you land, you will see a statue in the room. This is not the statue you are looking for yet, so don’t celebrate early. Activate the statue and go back to the main room by using the green door inside the room.

Access the computer again and this time, select the new option Racer. The next option after that should be Archaeologist. After getting the new brain function, go to the door left of the computer.

You’ll see a car that will take you to your destination. Proceed and you’ll get to see Tama race through a vaporwave track, while being chased by a head of a statue.

I’m pretty sure one of the developers is a huge fan of the vaporwave aesthetic. Tama will then crash the car, but will at least make it to her destination.

Inside the room is the statue you’re looking for. Activating this will unlock the second Mental Lock on Chikara’s brain. Go back to the main room and you’ll get a cutscene of Chikara taking a section of the room with him to impede Ryuki and Tama’s investigation.

Don’t fret, because getting that section back is easy. Access the computer again and select Fisherman and the new option, Gambler. Tama will then cast a line with her fishing rod and reel back the section Chikara took away.

With that done, you can now activate the stone statue in the room, which unlocks the third Mental Lock. After the little cutscene, head to the computer and choose Maasai Warrior and Chikara to activate the brain function.

Go up to the guard that’s protecting the door to Chikara’s Secret and interact with it. You will then get a cutscene of Tama fighting the guard and winning.

Once inside the room, you should see a statue in the middle. Activate that and return to the computer again. Be sure to keep your eyes safe, because this room is trippy.

Select the option of NA and IX and voila, you have successfully unlocked the fourth and last Mental Lock, beating Chikara’s Somnium.

He's also a huge fan of superhero media like Marvel and DC, so he's practically played games like Spider-Man and the Batman Arkham games. He's also into multiplayer games that strike his fancy, specifically games like Call of Duty and Fortnite. Most especially Fortnite since he can play as different Marvel and DC characters in a battle royale against other famous and iconic characters.
