In a normal setting, a trail of blood would automatically raise a ton of red flags. In Alan Wake 2, that would be part of your everyday commute, you’re going to have to follow that if you want to get to work in one piece.

Follow the Blood Trail
As you follow the blood trail, you’ll eventually end up in the Collapsed Tunnel, revealing more of the story that people made up about you during your disappearance.
The game will tell you about a missing FBI agent who probably got too close to the truth when you get there. You’ll find a map that reveals the rest of the place later once you get off the platform.
Once you’re done rewriting the story in a cutscene, the rest of the platform you’re standing on will change.
A path leading down to the tracks will reveal itself. Keep following the blood the tracks and you’ll find a door to your left.
This will put you on the opposite set of tracks once you go down the stairs. Keep walking and you’ll find a save room to your right, but only after the game gives you a little surprise.
Be on the lookout for that. To the left side of the door will be the map of the tunnels. Take that with you to give yourself something to read later on.
Leave the safety of the bright room and head for the train with your wife’s name on it. We’re talking about Alice by the way.
Stay on the left side once you leave the train car and you’ll eventually get to the Collapsed Tunnel.
Here, you’ll see more of what Alan Wake has been doing during his absence. Or what others are making him responsible for back in the world of the living at least. Use the passage to your right when you’re done to leave the area.
And that’s what awaits you at the end of the blood trail in Alan Wake 2. Don’t linger around the crime scene for too long. Remember, you’re never alone in the Dark Place.
