Alan Wake 2 is a new horror survival game that picks up 13 years after the original. In the second part of the game, you will become the game’s second playable protagonist. As the FBI Agent Saga Anderson, you will investigate many cases that are happening in Bright Falls.
‘Interview The Witnesses at The Diner’ is one of the mission tasks that need to be done for you to acquire some extra information regarding the murder case. In the Diner, some people witnessed the situation and can provide you with the information necessary for you to solve the case.
Interview The Witnesses at The Diner
According to the witnesses, there was a group of psychos wearing deer masks, attacking a person with knives.
They called it a ‘cult’ because the group of murderers were shouting ‘The Cult of the Tree!’. You also heard that they found an object, which you will find out later as you gather information.
In the Case Board, you’ll want to put in the information that you have gathered from the interview.
You found that there were multiple attackers wearing deer masks, chanting, and ‘tearing into the guy with knives’. This case isn’t simple since you’re dealing with a group of serial killers.
After that, put in the ‘The Cult of the Tree’ case. You will then see a cutscene that requires you to start a new file to understand more about the Cult.
That new file is where you will be putting in new information to help you progress as the case gets more complicated.
Then, head outside of the Diner and talk to the sheriff outside of it. Next, create a background case for the Cult of the Tree.
For the next step, put the ‘Cultists were wearing deer masks’ findings on the case board. The board will then expand, giving you space to fill in the clues you already have about this strange organization that you are investigating.
After that, choose the Profiling tab you can find at the top of your screen. Then, select The Bookers.
You will later find out that the witnesses have found the cult’s necklace. The symbols on it are two triangles. There are also confirmations from you that the witnesses were telling the truth.
Next, you’ll want to start a new board with information about the Cult Stashes.
First, put in the clues that you can find about the stashes that are found in Cauldron Lake. Select ‘Stash found near a Cauldron Lake mobile home‘ and place it on the case board.
Next, put in the clues that you found near or at Bright Falls Park. For this one, put in the clue that says ‘Lunch box found in Bright Falls Park.’
Next, place the Lunch box found near Cauldron Lake Campground hint on the very top of the case board.
After that, do the same for the Lunch box found by the FBC monitoring station at Cauldron Lake hint.
On the second row, place in your last clue, which is Lunch box found near the Witch’s Hut at Cauldron Lake.
After that, you’ll need to go back into the Diner and talk to the witnesses again. You will then ask for the witness, Tammy, to hand the necklace that the cultists may have dropped to you.
She may resist a little bit at first, but you’ll eventually have the item as one of your materials for the case.
Then, you’ll have a small conversation with the waitress in the Diner before you can move on to the next part of the quest. With all of the information that you have gathered from this part of the quest, you are now one step closer to being able to solve the case.
