If you’ve played the previous Alan Wake game or played a bit of the new Alan Wake 2, you’ll quickly notice there’s some odd stuff happening in the game. This isn’t your normal mystery game as there are also elements of horror and strange reality-bending items. At one point in the game, you’ll be tasked with using a special tool to go through different areas in the game.
In this guide, we’ll show you how to use the light to find a way out in one section of the game. It’ll be using that special tool to get the job done!
Use Light to Find a Way Out
At one point in the game, you’ll get to find a strange item called the Angel Lamp. With it, you’ll be tasked with a new mission to use the light to find a way out of the place you’re currently in. To use the lamp, you’ll need to press the button shown at the bottom of the screen.

There is also an arrow that points you where you need to go around the button. From where you get the lamp, use it so you’ll be transported to a different place. Then, continue forward as shown below.
You’ll enter an area with green lighting, head to the right and you’ll see some pipes and a chainlink fence blocking the path.
Use the lamp again to be transported into a different world and then go through the fence. Then, use it again to get back to the original area and enter the exit door.
When you enter the exit door, you’ll see stairs heading up to the left. Once you’re up the stairs, turn right and then right again, ignoring the stairs to the left.
Continue until you see the exit door shown below which will send you to a hallway and then to a new room.
In that room, there are some metal shelves and a single TV flashing light. Go towards it and use the lamp and that will be the end of this part of the mission.
That’s how you find a way out using the light in Alan Wake 2. What an interesting item right? Now go out there and try to do this mission yourself!
