It’s one thing in Alan Wake 2 to find the station on Caldera Street, to actually get inside beyond the stairs is another. Sure, there are light sources shown on your map, but a map can only tell you so much.

If you’re still confused as to how can you get inside of the station proper, then stick around. We’ll show you how to get to the other light source that lets you progress the story!

Use Light to Get Inside Caldera St Station

The entrance to Caldera Station is in plain sight, you just have to make use of the lamp post sitting on top of the garbage pile for the entrance to appear.

To show the rest of the subway below, you’ll need the light from the taxi cab. It’s blocked off on the other side of Caldera Street, so you’re going to need rooftop access to circle around.

Alan Wake 2 Objective Location

Go to the corner of Draft and Caldera Street. You’ll find a streetlamp right under the rails. Use your Angel Lamp to bend reality to your will and unblock the stairs to your left.

Then, turn around when you get to the top and run to the left side of the tracks. There’s a ladder there that will take you to the roof.

Alan Wake 2 Staircase

Climb the ladder and you’ll see a doorway with a lamp dangling on top of it. It’ll lead to another set of stairs heading down.

Go through the door and look to your left when you get out to access a save room.

Alan Wake 2 Doorway

Finish your business in the save room and make a left turn, follow up with a right turn to up the stairs leading to the scaffolds.

You’re going the right way if you see a yellow arrow pointing up. Be sure to check out that point of interest as well!

Alan Wake 2 Staircase

Go through the door that says “LOST” and keep running through the alley on the next floor. The taxi on the other side is what you need to interact with. Snuff its lights out and it’ll turn into a police cruiser.

At this point, a few Taken will start to approach you. Turn around and head for the metal fencing. This will lead you back to the rest of Caldera Street where the station is.

Alan Wake 2 Taxi Light

You’ll see another prompt telling you to make use of your Angel Lamp when you get to the station. Do that to reveal the rest of the way going down.

Alan Wake 2 Caldera Station

And that’s how you can get inside Caldera Station in Alan Wake 2. Now you can actually use the subway ticket you got earlier to proceed!

Here we have Alexis, he's been gaming ever since the second Famicom came out. Which is probably the reason why he goes back to platformers every now and then. Somewhere down the line he started getting more and more fascinated about looking at maps change colors for three to eight hours straight. If he's not out strategizing and beating the life out of his space bar in that order there's a good chance you can find him playing an FPS or talking someone's ear out about how game balance gets in the way of realism. You can tell that he really likes getting the full experience of whatever he gets his hands on.
